Tilly's POV

I hear the bathroom door unlock and footsteps along the floor so I quickly wipe my eyes. Standing up I take the charger with me out into the kitchen and plug my phone on charge. Luke is watching 'How much I met your mother' and so I join him on the sofa.

Luke's phone rings and he goes outside to answer it. As I watch his mouth move and him pace around the garden I wonder who it could be on the phone.

I manage to catch the word 'now' being mouthed and soon after Luke hangs up and comes back inside.

"I'm sorry babe but Michael just rang saying we have a meeting with the tour manager and I have to go to his now. You can stay here if you want but I don't know when I'll be back." He says shuffling his feet.

"That's okay. Can you drop me home on your way?"

"Sure." He sadly says.

He gets a few things from around the house and then we get in the car. On the way home the radio is playing whilst both me and Luke don't say a lot. I can tell something is one his mind as much as something is on mine but I don't bother mentioning it to him. Reaching down to the floor I pick up my laptop and set it on my lap as we inch closer to my house.

I step out of the car and walk round to his side where he winds the window down.

"Goodbye Luke." I say and connect our lips.

"Can't we say see you later. This isn't a goodbye Tilly." Luke says upset.

"See you later." I smile but knowing that was soon going to be a goodbye.

"We can work this out." He says as I stare into his deep promising blue eyes.

"I know." I say standing a few feet away from his car.

"See you later." He says before driving off.

As I look across the street I see Jack's house opposite mine and I think back to that text he sent me. It was weird, in fact strange considering he was quite fond of Luke when I went round there.

I unlock the gate and open my phone again to look at what exactly the text said.

Back with Luke again then?. He's no good for you Tilly, but it's not my place to say.

I don't see how his opinion of Luke has changed.

It's like a sauna in my house and so I grab an ice lolly from the freezer and open all the windows down stairs. I'm grateful that I chose shorts and a short tee to wear. After a few minutes of wondering what to do I go up stairs to find a bikini top so I can use this sunny day as an opportunity to sunbathe. I smother myself in sun lotion and take out one of our sun loungers from the small shed at the back of the garden. The second section of our garden has the best sun and so I set my lounger there with my phone and a drink already on the floor. I can feel the warmth on my skin and that soon sends me to sleep.

When I wake up two hours later Luke has text me saying they are staying for a little while longer to write some songs for the tour. I reply and shut my phone back down before I hear a knock on the front door.

Peeking through the spy hole I notice it's the man from the other night who's name I can't remember.

"Ahh Tilly. Is your mother home?" He questions doing a better job than me at remembering names.

"No. Why?" I ask back.

"I just needed to talk to her." He says.

"About what?" Curiosity getting the better of me.
