Ana sat there dazed as usual. The swing. She could reach her feet seating there now.

She remembers this place. Where she sat long long waiting for one of her friends to come.

Her house was always empty.

Her friends weren't.

So of course.

It was always her who was first to come.

She really liked her friends. Sure she didn't think of them as her friends but random people she talked to but she did like them a lot.

Really . She loved how ambitious Ruby and Rachel were. How chill Sara was. How they've been the same through all these years.

She often found herself looking at them with an unconscious smile.

It was Halloween now, a long vacation. Not that long but nothing short.

She thought of Shukanya. They haven't talked after her bold confession. Ana was sad at first, thinking she ruined another friendship. It was one of the reasons why she never made male friends because they always went for something more. Teenage boys are pretty desperate. But really? Can't she make female friends now?

But suddenly Shukanya had came to her one day. She also gave her some chocolates that she was giving to everyone. Apparently it was her birthday.

Ana wished her happy birthday, like she always did to anyone. She did not get the idea of wishing someone. She's had real trouble about it. Sometimes Rachel or Sara just suddenly asked her what their birthdays were. Ana gives a nervous laugh and starts guess working eventually ending with them being angry at her for never less than a week. And Ana just begging, swooning, acting cute to get them to break their anger.

But Ana made sure to tell Shukanya that she'll miss her. She did . She thought about the girl during her late night study sessions. Wondering if she thought of her too.

As for Sebastiano, Ana actually didn't forget him during her vacation unlike her other crushes. Sure she wasn't madly in love anymore, but she wasn't uninterested either.

Rachel hadn't asked anything else either.

Ana liked how Sara and Rachel got whiny. And how they looked cute and endearing while doing so.

Ana admired how they showed they're feelings so naturally. That their angry at Ana. Or that they were sad by something Ana said.

Ana can never. The only emotions she showed were complaints. About her classmates and family to them. Never about them. Cause if she complained there was a fear that they'll get angry and leave Ana.

She was in Sara's room now. Watching with the same fond smile. As Sara did her bun fussing. Rachel whining how fat she looked. And Monica doing Rachel's makeup.

Monica was also a new well appreciated addition. She was Rachel's best friend. They met through Facebook during the lock down. At first Ana treated her like a home wrecker but now she's gotten quite lovey dovey with Monica herself. Rachel was even jealous sometimes. Monica was just like Ana, dazzled by Rachel, Who fawned over Rachel. And did everything in their power to break her sudden frequent anger. And lucky Rachel, she was so cute when angry.

"Ana, have you gotten thinner? "

Mrs. Faciane said to her. Ana laughed saying she didn't know as the woman asked what they wanted to eat. After a while, Ana was the only one with a rice pudding at hand, still with the fond look to the girls scurrying with their hair, makeup in front of one slim mirror.

Ana had gotten ready from her home already.

"Lucky Ana Bro. Eating peacefully" Rachel whined.

Ana smiled as she realised that they were now supposed to head out.
