Red's POV

“Do you want to go get dinner?” Chloe asks.

She hesitates. “I'm not hungry.”

“Are you sure? You barely ate lunch earlier.” She watches Chloe reach her hand out, but fear got the best of her that she backed away from her touch.

“I promise, I’m good.” She knew it was a lie, she couldn't help it but it felt like that was what her mind was wired to do.

“Okay… Come with me atleast?” The girl's eyes twinkled.

She sighs in defeat. “Okay.”

As they made their way to the cafeteria line, she went to their usual table first while Chloe waited in line. She scrolled on her phone until the girl got back carrying a full tray of food.

“That's a lot.” She points out.

“Yeah that's because some of them are for you.” Chloe informs her while giving her an apologetic smile.

She frowns. “I told you I'm not hungry, Chlo.”

“Please, just a few bites. For me?” Chloe pleaded as she handed her a few slices of an apple.

Knowing the girl cared for her well-being, she reluctantly ate four slices earning a proud smile from Chloe. Her heart leaped from the sight of it, unknowingly she took a few more slices until there wasn't any left.

“I'm proud of you, Red.” Chloe lovingly smiles, sending her heart into somersaults.

Gods, why does she have to look at her like that? She thought.

It's making her so giddy, so light. It's dizzying.

All these rushes of new emotions felt so addictive.

It fascinatingly terrifies her.

Once Chloe finished eating, they strode along the cafeteria halls. She glanced at the area she saw in the corner of her eye, grinning as an idea came to her mind, she turned to the girl beside her and took her hand, dragging her out.

“Red! What are you doing?” Chloe exclaims, making sure not to trip over her own feet.

“You'll see.” She laughs, making their way out of the school halls and into the school's garden.

They reached the edge of the school's cemented ground, she made her way in the middle of the garden's rose-filled pathway as Chloe stayed there watching her. Giving her a  genuine smile, slightly biting her lower lip. She never knew she would do this sort of thing, she longingly stared at her and bowed, her eyes not leaving the girl from a far. Chloe caught on what she's trying to do and curtsied back, they made their way to meet at the middle, they laugh at the antics they just did,

“M'lady.” She grins as she holds out her hand. “May I have this dance with you on this lovely night?”

She's so beautiful.

“You may.” Chloe giggled as she placed her hand on top of hers and the other on her shoulder. “As cliche as this is, I find it endearing.”

“Let me have this, Chlo.” She whispers, placing her free hand on Chloe's waist, pulling her closer and begins swaying to their own form of music. She felt the girl rest her head on her chest, she looked down and their eyes met sparkling against the moon's light. Their eyes stole a few glances at each other's lips, and slowly leaned into each other.

I love her. She hears herself admit.

Love.

The word echoed through her mind causing an avalanche.
