Red's POV

She couldn't believe it, all of this feels like a dream that it almost made her pinch herself if she could. Here she was holding Chloe's hand as they walked back to the garden, she felt disappointment when her own body betrayed her by letting go of her hand as they were ready to enter. Chloe turned to her and smiled, her heart raced so fast on how understanding her girlfriend is to her.

Girlfriend. She feels herself smile as they walk toward their parents.

"Both of you look happy." Bridget teases, watching both of them look away from each other with shy smiles on their faces.

"I take it, you told Red about the shoes?" Ella smiles at Chloe.

She silently curses herself, wishing her face won't give her away. She hears Chloe stammer. Gods, she really can't lie for herself, can she?

" I- yeah I did." Chloe mumbles, turning her face away even more trying to hide the blush creeping in.

"Seems like you're hiding something." Bridget laughs. "You're not married already, are you?"

She shakes her head. "We're not mom. We just talked about us and the shoes situation."

"We're glad, hopefully, we'll be there when the discussion of marriage actually comes into play." Charming grins, she and Chloe both looked at each other then back at their parents.

"Dad." Chloe whined. "We're not ready for that yet."

Their parents laughed, especially Bridget, she knew Red can lie her way out of everything but now even her face betrays her. "Oh darlings, we're just teasing you. Even with the plan of marriage in mind, we couldn't allow barely legal teenagers to get married."

Just feed me to the Jabberwocky already. She thought as her hand covered her eyes, she really didn't want to face them right now, all she wanted was to call it a day and be in their room with Chloe. She really wants to hold herself back from impulsively telling them about that even if it was just mere moments ago when she told Chloe she wasn't ready for anyone to know yet. She tapped her finger to her thigh and pressed her lips tightly.

"I'm sorry but I just feel really tired now and it has been a really long day. Is it okay if I head back to our room?" She forces out a lie, her eyes scanning everyone's expression.

Bridget sends her a compassionate smile as she walks forward and places her hand on her shoulder then to her cheek, she mumbles a soft goodbye while everyone else nodded and Chloe sends her a questioning look. She shrugs her shoulders as she turns her heels to head back.

She took slow steps, wishing Chloe caught on to what she's trying to do. She hears the girl excuse herself to her parents as well as to her mom, a few shuffling, and then heavy steps coming towards her. There the blue-haired princess smiled as she caught up to her and they walked side by side, once they managed to escape from everyone's gazes she reached for the girl's hand and interlaced their fingers once more.

"Why'd you leave so suddenly?" Chloe quips, their hands rocking back and forth as they walk along the empty hallways.

"I told you I got tired." She chuckles, earning a skeptical look from her. "What? Is it wrong wanting to spend time alone with my girlfriend?"

She could see a smile form on her face, she felt he bump her shoulder against hers. "You could've just told me that first."

"Gotta keep the lie convincing at some point." She grins, causing the girl beside her to slap her shoulder with her free hand.

Laughing at the soft impact of her hand, the girl rolled her eyes at her.

"You need to stop with the lying." Chloe scolds her.
