Chloe's POV
She could her anger dissipate when she sees Red silently staring at her bleeding palms as they wait for the nurse, who was getting a first aid kit. She reached out and placed her hand on her thigh.
“I could handle myself just fine, Chloe. I don't need you to risk yourself by punching a harmless guy.” She hears her say with so much sincerity and slight disappointment.
“I heard what he said to you and it just angered me. I hate everything that he said to you that I lost control of myself.” She sighs.
“Who was he anyway? He said you stole his chance at becoming captain.” Red groans from the anti-bacterial spray.
“Charles Frollo. VK of Claude Frollo, like his father he's also a religious extremist and a misogynist. He's such a jerk and he makes my blood boil so much that I don't regret punching him that hard.” She grits her teeth, watching Red nod in agreement.
“Me too, as much as I really wanted to punch him. I didn‘t, because I know you wouldn't like that.” Red bites the inside of her cheek, not sparing her a glance.
“I know I have some morals, but he was too much. He's always bothering me about the captain position that I sometimes considered dropping out of the club.” She shrugs as the nurse comes back and starts dressing the wound on Red's hands.
She could see the disdain on her face while the nurse put on the bandages, the nurse turned towards her. “Uma requested you to her office, she wants to talk to you.”
Sighing as she stands up to leave, the nurse walks away after bandaging her girlfriend‘s hands, she turns to Red and cupped her cheek. “I'll see you later in last period, okay? Oh and don't forget our deal.”
“I won't.” She watches her form a half smile as she glances at her bandaged hands. “Go, she's probably waiting for you.”
She lets out a deep sigh and nods, turning her heels and walking out the infirmary. She hesitantly walks up the office door, her hand timidly knocking on the door. Hearing Uma telling her to come in, she takes a deep breath as she turns the doorknob open.
Seeing Uma look at her with such disappointment, she sank herself on the chair Uma offered her.
“What is this thing I heard about you punching another student? I expected Red to do this but you? Explain yourself.” Uma crosses her arms as she stares down.
Taking a deep breath, she explained everything from seeing Red get verbally harrassed to more prior events that related to him. She sees Uma‘s face soften and sighs. “How's Red?”
“Disappointed. She didn't give the first blow because she knew I wouldn‘t like it but it's one thing that he keeps bothering me that I just snapped when he said those things to her.” She stares at her bruised fist.
“I know that this school doesn‘t agree on violence but I would do the same if someone did that to the people I love.” Uma sighs. “Oh great, I'm gonna have to deal with his father, he’s just the worst.”
“Tell me about it.” She mutters, making Uma dart her eyes.
“I’m sorry.” She mumbles, she feels Uma place her hand on her shoulder.
“I'll let this one slide as long as you don't do it again, I really don't like calling all your parents and actually having a discussion.” Uma said, softly patting her shoulder. “But knowing Frollo is his father, you're probably gonna get a suspension from the Swords and Shields Club for a week.”
