Chloe‘s POV

They scramble away from each other as they panic to find the ringing phone, luckily Red found it in the nick of time, quickly answering it before it could end and passed it to her while mouthing that it was her mom. She hurriedly takes it and presses the speaker mode for her to hear as well.

“Hi mom…” Wincing at how hoarse her voice is while trying not to really expect what she'll say to her.

“Oh baby, how are you both?” Ella softly asks, her voice soothing their panicked states as well as calming whatever thoughts that ran through their heads about this upcoming conversation.

They blushed since they were interrupted a few minutes ago in a suspicious position, she clears her throat while eyeing Red. “We're doing well, Uma excused us the rest of the afternoon.”

“You might want to tell Red that Bridget is coming there as we speak, I wanted to come with her but she insisted that I'd stay and come tomorrow with your father.” Ella chuckles.

Their eyes widened at the information, they quickly scurry onto their feet while she nervously chuckled to her mom. “Okay uh- we got to go, mom. I'll see you tomorrow then?”

“Yes dear, Hi Red.” Ella laughs.

Red clears her throat and replies shyly. “Hi Ella.”

“I'll be going, tell Bridget to not bring down the whole school. Bye girls.” They watch the call end before hurrying themselves to cross the bridge and up the horse.

She kicked the horse to run full speed while Red tells her that her mom drives really fast and would probably be there before them. The horse finally came to a full stop at the school stables, she put Maxie inside the pen before they went into a full sprint to the front yard. They managed to reach there in time for Bridget‘s car to arrive and stop in front of them.

They watch her step out the car and hurriedly go up to them, cupping both of their cheeks with her hands. “How are you, my darlings?”

She sees Bridget's eyes travel to Red's bandaged hands, she sees her hesitate to reach for them, knowing that Red isn't much for letting people touch her.

“Red, dear. May I see your hands?” Bridget softly acceded, holding out her hands if ever red actually lets her see.

She watches Red hesitantly lift up both of her hands and reluctantly places them in hers. Bridget sympathetically smiles as she observes her palms as if she's careful enough to not hurt her with a single touch.

“May I?” Bridget takes out a vial from her bag as Red nods slowly.

Watching Bridget unwrap the bandages from her girlfriend's hands and dabbing a few drops on her wounds, she sees the cuts magically heal not leaving a single trace of it being an injury in the first place. Red smiles a little while opening and closing her hands as if she's testing if it's actually healed.

“Thanks, mom.” Red mumbles, her eyes not leaving the palm of her hands.

“How about you, Chloe?” Bridgety turned to her and eyed her hand.

“It's okay, it's only a bruise.” She shrugs as she lets her see her purpled knuckles.

She hears her tsked. “We're not having that here.”

Bridget gently holds her hand and lets a single drop fall off the vial, she watches the dark shade of purple dissolve back to her natural color and the sting evaporates like it wasn't even there.

The mom smiles softly. “There, all better.”

“Thank you, your highness.” She awkwardly smiles when she sees Bridget shake her head.
