Chloe's POV

It’s already Friday, the sunrise and her alarm woke her up in an instant. Quickly turning off the alarm before it could wake up the sleeping girl beside her. Getting up, careful not to move as much as she possibly can. Much like any other day, she finishes getting dressed along with her makeup. She almost forgot she had practice on Swords and Shields as well as judging the tryouts, her brother was almost against the thought of girls being captain of the team but knowing that she liked Swords and Shields as much as he did, he lowered his pride since almost everyone in their family supported her.

She walks out the bathroom and sees Red sprawled out on the bed, she walks up to her desk and puts on the belt holding her sword. Walking back to Red, she had an idea on how to wake her up and her laying with her arms open gave her the opportunity to do so. She dug her hand on Red’s side causing her to jolt up in an instant.

“What the fuck was that?!?” Red yelled.

She clutches her stomach as she bursts out laughing. ‘I didn't know you were ticklish.”

“Well neither did I, so refrain from doing that unless you want me to die.” Red joked.

She snorts. “As if, you’d die from that.”

“You could, if you have a heart attack.” The girl exclaimed, causing her to chuckle at how ridiculous this is.

“Just go get ready, Hearts. We’ve already missed a ton yesterday.” She rolls her eyes.

Everything went on like normal throughout the day, going in and out of classrooms, sitting next to Red every class they had and holding hands under their desks, passing the missed activities and assignments she had and spending time with Heidi and Joseff. Lunch came and they found themselves on the school tables outside the cafeteria, her sitting next to Red while the siblings sat across from them.

“So.” Joseff smirks. “What's going on with you two?”

She could feel her heart drop as she turned her head to face Red, who had panic painted in her eyes but feigned a confused expression. She turns back to the siblings with the same expression as her. “Going on? There's nothing going on.”

“Yeah, whatever you think it is, it's not. We've been best friends since we were kids.” She could feel the anxiety and displeasure Red has in her voice.

“Oh we uh we thought-” Heidi stammered.

“Well, you thought wrong.” She places her hand on top of hers under the table, caressing her thumb on her palm and sees her shoulders relax.”Sorry, that came out too harsh.”

“It's uh it’s okay, we overstepped.” He rubs his nape, his voice filled with regret.

“No, it's fine. We’re just tired of that question always coming up.” She didn't know where that came from, they weren't even asked that before this. It just came so naturally and that's when it hits her, she remembers a memory of them being asked that over and over, and her lashing out instead of Red.

They shifted to another topic while they were having their lunch. Red still ate a few bites but she's glad she's eating at least. Their hands remained together until lunch ended, she went to her next class with Heidi beside her.

She could sense the girl was in her head a little. “Hey, you okay? You seem nervous.”

“It's not that. I'm sorry about my brother earlier, he can be nosy at times but he means well.” The Arendellan conceded.

“It's fine, Heidi. I just wish it wouldn't sprung up on Red so abruptly.” She stops herself before she could say anything more.

Heidi nods in understanding, she turns to her after they find their seats. “Though, I recall you told me about telling her.”
