After playing in the water to her heart’s content, Manvi reluctantly steps out of the bathtub and gets ready. She’s in a good mood today, and Ruhana can’t help but smile at the infectious energy she has spread early in the morning. After dressing in her favorite crop top and jeans, Manvi looks up only to find her mom ready in a teal-colored churidar suit. With her hair open and a small smile on her face, Ruhana looks elegant. Manvi runs to her, taking a close look at her mom. Ruhana is amused, and when she asks, Manvi gestures with her hand to show that she looks beautiful.
Her mom is amused but can’t help but smile at the sweet gesture. She pecks Manvi’s head.
“Kisne sikhaya ye?” she asks.
“Maansi maasi ne! Vo kehti hai isse sabko good feel hota hai, aur jab koi hume achcha lagta hai, hum aise kar sakte hai,” Manvi explains innocently. Ruhana can’t help but smile at her innocence.
“Ye toh thik baat hai. Toh main achchi lag rahi hoon?” Ruhana asks, looking at her daughter.
“Haan!” Manvi bobs her head multiple times, causing her mother to smile.
“Aww, achcha, ab hum chalein? Mannu ready hai?” Ruhana asks, wanting to confirm that her daughter will be fine in the crowd.
“Haan, Mumma. Aap dekhna, aaj Mannu hi jeetegi.” Manvi chuckles, her enthusiasm visible in her eyes.
Ruhana is glad. Her daughter is showing excitement for the painting competition, and she doesn’t want to ruin it for her. She prays that their day goes smoothly at the conference. She silently prays for the same and opens her eyes as she feels a tug on her hand. She looks at Manvi, who is now stretching her hand towards her, prompting her mother to hold it. Ruhana smiles, holds Manvi’s hand, and together they walk out of the room. As they leave, Manvi locks the door promptly and hands over the key to her mother, who just smiles.
