Ruhana has a trifle with the secretary of the society, his wife and their son. She is not the kind to take any nuisance when it comes to her daughter. She may not respond directly, but when she does, her words are sharper than a knife, which is enough to slit a person’s respect. She’s angry as the secretary’s wife tonts her.
Everyone in society looks at her as if she has committed a sin. She is divorced and her daughter is not normal —this is her sin. Ladies have even commented on her character and Ruhana has always heard them — but not right now. She taunts them that they have no right to comment on her life. She turns to go to her flat and then turns back to look at Varsha and other people, who are still looking at her.

“Ek baat kahun aap logon se! Jitna interest aap log meri zindagi mein dete hain, utna interest apni life mein, apne bachon pe aur apne parents pe dijiye na! Varsha ji! “Nazrein churaane se sach nahi badlega! Tum log mujhe kuch bhi kaho! Lekin meri beti ke liye ek galat shbd bhi nikla na tum logon ki ghatiya soch aur muh se ya Namit jaise ghatiya ladkon ka ganda haath meri beti ke taraf utha bhi na! Toh mujhse bura koi nahi hoga, samjhe tum log!!! Aur haan, Police bhi nahi bacha payegi tum sabko! Kyunki tum sabko toh mujhme hi khot nazar aati hain na! Tum sab toh doodh ke dhule ho!! Hai na!” Ruhana says glaring at the crowd.
“Ab niklo yahan se! Aur haan! Mujhpe ungli uthaane se pehel aaine mein apne chehre dekho! Ye jo naqaab hain na, iske peeche ka haivaan nazar aayega tum logon ko. AUr phir bhi dikkat hain toh society khali karo! Kyunki main toh yahan se kahin nahi jaane wali! Jisko mujhse aur meri beti se dikkat wo nikle yahan se!” Ruhana says hatefully and climbs up the stairs.
