"Oh my! Well done! It seems they, or rather, we, underestimated you. Yes, we did indeed." Jeremy praised and pulled off the disguise as you clapped.
"How impressive! Who knew a simple man like you'd be so smart? Might as well start working with the yard, hell, you might even be promoted on your first case!" You cheered as the man looked up at Sebastian in surprise.
"No! It's incredible, unreal! No one could pull off such a deception so flawlessly!" Arthur exclaimed as Sebastian raised a brow.
"Still unsure? You came back here because you wanted answers, do you not? If only you'd kept going, you could have resumed your humdrum life. Why return if the truth makes you tremble so?" Sebastian asked the man as his hands and legs shook visibly.
"I- I had to know if my misgivings were correct so I went after the yards carriage. If I'm right, that means an innocent man is now in their custody!" Arthur reasoned as your brother chuckled.
"My, you have quite a strong sense of justice, don't you? I suppose we should've guessed, knowing that you've written of the valiant medieval knights." He commented as you giggled.
"Did you consider that if you revealed you knew the truth, we might not let you leave here again?" You asked as the man gasped, your smile left as you waved your hand. "A joke, only." You dismissed as you both turned around to head up the stairs.
"Your assumption is correct, though. Woodley was not, in fact, the murderer." Your brother confirmed as you added. "At least not in this instance, he wasn't."
The man looked at you surprised as you two continued up the stairs. "Don't let it trouble you. That carriage is very much where he belongs, I assure you." You said as the man called out.
"Wait, I don't understand!" "We're happy to explain more thoroughly. Perhaps over some tea? Sebastian." Your brother insisted.

"Here we are, gentlemen. Today we shall be pouring a second flush Darjeeling from Fortnum & Mason. It is accompanied by petits fours along with some cake the master requested." Sebastian informed as you sat next to your brother across from Arthur in the garden.
"Now, what made you suspect Sebastian was alive to begin with?" Your brother started after he took a sip of tea. "Well, to be honest, I wasn't actually sure about that. I just had a vague sense that something was off, that's all. He was, how do I explain this... simply too perfect!" Arthur tried phrasing as he glanced at the butler.
"Sebastian the butler and Jeremy the vicar were both such unbelievable characters, yet, they left no room for doubt! It was too neat. It was all orchestrated so well it was unnatural." He explained as Sebastian placed down his tea.
"Oh? Please explain further." "Well, for example. It was impossible to prepare everything so perfectly for your own sudden murder. In fact it was beyond anything that could be explained beyond simple 'foreboding.' Then there was Jeremy's timely arrival. It was spectacularly suspicious. Yet he had a water tight alibi. And, of course, his parting words to me." He explained further as you took a bite of your cake, processing how his mind worked.
