"Come on brother, hurry! We'll be late!" You told your brother as you both ran towards the gates. You carrying your own stack of books and your brothers hat as he carried his own books and a small cookie in his mouth.
You looked back at the gate that was so close and your brother shouted. "Please wait!"
You two ran through the gates and your brother rested his hands on his knees as he panted and huffed. "Oh, thank goodness..." You groaned as you placed your brothers hat on his head and checked up on his eye patch to make sure it was secure.
"Nothing is out of place, right?" You asked him as he nodded. This was Weston college. An all boys school for the children of nobility to attend.
"Yes, everything looks fine, remember, first impressions are vital." He reminded as you both stood straight and nodded to each other as you locked arms and stepped on the lawn to head to class when everyone started whispering quietly.
"Look."
"I can't believe it."
"They stepped on the lawn."
"What a guy, leading himself and his own friend onto the grass, and they're not even the p4."
"Will Maurice be jealous?"
"Wanna bet?"
"Definitely a 'y'"
"Sheesh."
"Ah, look! There they are! The p4!" One of them announced and pointed at a group of boys in different uniforms walking towards you both. The one in red made a bee like straight towards you both as he held a frown and suddenly grabbed your brother by his tie. You almost grabbed him by his own tie when he only sent him a calm smile.
"Your tie's crooked." He informed your brother as he adjusted it. He then raised a brow at your brother, not noticing your presence as you were cautiously quiet.
"What's your name?" He asked Ciel "Phantomhive." He responded "Hmm, never heard of it." The boy responded quickly as the other of the group in green spoke up.
"That's right, the principle said that there would be two new students in blue house today, you're one of them, right?" He asked your brother as he nodded.
"Then where's the other student?" He asked as he looked around and you had to clear your throat. "I believe you're talking about me." You said as you folded your hands over each other. "Oh, what is your name?" He asked as you smiled.
"My name is Phantomhive as well. We're brothers." You said as you bowed your head a bit. "Weston college rule #48 states 'Only those allowed to cross the lawn are the p4 or those who have been granted permission by them.' at least remember the rules before you get here." A boy in blue recited as you apologized.
"We're very sor-" you were interrupted by a boy in purple. "Hurry up and get inside, the sun is too bright outside." He ordered as the boy in red turned to look back at you two "From now on, look out Phantomhive." He turned to your brother and stuck the tip of his index finger into your brothers forehead and after that he turned to you and pinched your cheek.
"You're adorable." He snickered before walking off with the other prefects.
A boy suddenly jumped on your brother in excitement "Aren't you lucky? You stepped on the lawn and didn't even get punished!" He cheered before he got off your brother who was in shock.
"I'm McMillan. I'm a first year in blue house as well." He introduced himself and handed your brother his hat back which you didn't even notice he took.
"Y.. yeah. By the way, what do all those 'p4' and 'y' things mean?" Your brother asked McMillan as he answered happily. "'y' are penalty points. If you get one 'y' you have to write a latin poem a hundred times." "What's p4" you asked as he turned to you.
"Those four just now were wearing different colored waistcoats, right? At this school, only prefects can wear those with whatever pattern they like." He answered with a smile as you looked back at the four walking away to the school. "Prefects?" You questioned.
"I guess you could call them dormitory leaders. The four prefects from the traditional four dormitories at Weston College. P4 for short! Ah... I really admire them. I'll be a prefect one day, if only! " He stated.
"I see..." Your brother trailed off as he shared a look with you, you only looked up at the sky and squinted your eyes as the sun was bright. "The sky is just marvelous today, isn't it?"
"But not being allowed to cross the lawn is a kind of an inefficient rule." He asked as the boy calmed down "Well, it's tradition and all." He said as the bell rung loudly.
"Oops! Let's hurry, we'll be late for class!" He insisted as he grabbed your brothers wrist and dragged him as Ciel dragged you along by holding your hand.
You two had been sent here to investigate a few students who had attended here but refused to come home and it has worried the queen. So you two personally enrolled and were allowed in.
-
"It's really weird that Colett left the school so suddenly. You both came in at a rather strange time, wasn't that hard?" McMillan asked you both as you three were sitting in a room.
"Well I'd been waiting for a spot for a long time along with my brother. We was happy to prepare for it." Ciel answered for you both as you nodded.
Suddenly, a door bursted open with a young man shouting "Boy up!" McMillan began running to a line as you both raised a brow. "At that command, the last in line has to do whatever the upper years tell them to!" McMillan informed as you two scrambled up to get into the line.
"The last one is... The new one." He mumbled as he looked down at your brother as he had been the last in line.
"Return to the dorm after you've finished polishing all the prefects' shoes. We'll have your welcome party. Oh, and why don't you help him out, too?" He ordered you and your brother as he handed him a handkerchief and placed one in your hands.
-
You walked into the sapphire owl dormitory with your brother in tow. You didn't feel anything but you heard your brother muffle out a panicked sound as you turned around to see him being covered by a cloth and one being placed on your own mouth as well.
You saw it was the guy from earlier and calmed down. "Congratulations, Phantomhive." He congratulated you both.
"We're holding this welcome party just for you. I hope you'll enjoy it to the fullest." He told your brother as he was suddenly placed onto a cloth and flipped into the air. "Heave ho!" They all shouted as your brother yelled in surprise. You were then snatched by your hips and thrown onto a sheet as the same thing was happening to you.
"How do you like our dorms traditional welcome party? I'll expect you to work even harder at your studies from now on. As a member of the sapphire owl dormitory." He said as he smiled at you. "This is so fun!!" You laughed as your body spun while in the air
"The next one will be even harder." He told you both as you guys landed on the cloth again. "One, two..." He began when a voice shouted.
"What is that racket? I'll give you all a 'y'!" "Oh no! It's the dorm supervisor!" They all panicked as you were about to fall but the elder boy has caught you and softened your fall.
"Clayton, why are you, as an upper year, participating in this?" A man asked the boy, Clayton, who adjusted his glasses and helped you stand up. "That's... This is a tradition of our dorm." Clayton explained.
"You two are the Phantomhive's, correct?" The man asked as you looked up to see Sebastian disguised as a teacher offering you a hand. "Welcome to the sapphire owl dormitory. I'm the dorm supervisor, Michaelis."
