IN THE MORNING(Red's POV)
———————————————————————————
When I woke up at 6, Chloe was still sound asleep, her arms wrapped around me while mine were also wrapped around her. I couldn't help but smile and feel a slight blush rising. Feeling her tight grip, I decided to stay put and reached for my phone. There were messages from my mom from the previous night, along with a photo of Chloe and me cuddled together in our sleep."I'm going to fight her," I quietly muttered to myself. I texted my mom to prepare waffles for breakfast. She hearted my message, and I continued scrolling on my phone or playing a game. After about 30 minutes, I felt Chloe stir.
"Turn off your phone," she grumbled.
"Is it really that bad?" I asked.
"Yes, what time is it?" she inquired.
"It's around 6:30," I replied.
"Are you serious?" she questioned, to which I nodded and showed her my phone.
"Go back to sleep," she instructed, nestling closer to me. Blushing, I set my phone down and wrapped both arms around her. She quickly fell back asleep, and I soon followed suit.
An hour later, I was wide awake while Chloe was still half-asleep but conversing.
"My mom is making waffles for breakfast, and some other things, I'm not sure what though," I informed her.
"Mmm, sounds nice," Chloe mumbled. I let out a giggle.
"Hmm?" she groaned.
"Nothing, you're just being yourself," I said, causing her to blush. She covered her face with the covers, but I pulled them down, reassuring her.
"You're fine, Chloe," I said.
"Whatever, redhead," she teased. I smiled and rolled my eyes as we lingered in bed a while longer. My mom knocked on the door, and Chloe shaylee cuddled into me.
"Good morning, you two," my mom greeted. Chloe shot up and tried to play it cool but wasn't very convincing.
"Morning, Mom," I acknowledged. I looked over at Chloe, who was blushing.
"Morning, Bridget," she greeted. My mom just smiled.
"I wanted to make sure you were up before I started cooking. Feel free to continue whatever you were doing," my mom said before giggling and leaving.
"Okay, Mom," I replied. She looked at me, and we exchanged smiles as she exited. I turned to Chloe, who was now as red as my hair, teasing her gently.
"You're as red as my hair. I teased holding my hair up to her face. She grew more red
"That's enough," she said, swatting my hand away. We both giggled, and Chloe playfully called me annoying.
"We should warn the Jabberwocky about me then," I teased.
"No, let's not," she quickly responded, placing her hand on mine. I smiled softly.
"I'll always catch you with my jokes," I said. Chloe rolled her eyes and moved her hand away.
"No, you won't. I was just playing along," she retorted.
"Sure, sure. I'm going to get ready now. You can freshen up in here," I said, getting up and heading to the bathroom.
CHLOE'S POV
———————————————————————————
When Red went into the bathroom, I started to get ready in her room. After getting dressed, I sat on her bed, waiting for her to finish up. Not long after, I heard the door open and Red emerged in shorts and a sports bra. I couldn't help but admire her.
