FRIDAY(Red's POV)
———————————————————————————
Ever since Tuesday, Chloe has been acting strange. She hasn't been touchy and hasn't been eating much. She has been easily agitated, and her mood seems off. We were sitting together at lunch with CJ when CJ got up to throw away her trash."Chlo?" I called out. She looked up at me.
"We need to talk after you finish your classes," I said. She nodded but began to play with her food.
"Please eat a little? You've barely eaten in days," I urged.
"I'm not hungry," she replied.
"Please?" I asked again. She met my gaze and nodded, taking a few bites. I smiled as she ate. The bell rang, and we cleaned up before heading to our next class.
When Chloe's last class ended, she texted me to say she was on her way back. When she entered, I could immediately sense that something was troubling her.
"Baby, we need to talk," I said. She sat down next to me and nodded in agreement.
CHLOE'S POV
———————————————————————————
After what Red said at lunch, I spent the rest of the day overthinking. I performed poorly in my fencing class because I was so anxious. Once that class ended, I texted Red to let her know I was on my way to the dorm. When I arrived, I set my things down as I walked in."Baby, we need to talk," Red said. I sat beside her, and all my emotions began to overwhelm me.
"Chloe, what's been going on? You can't say nothing because it's clear something has happened. Please, just tell me! I'm really worried about you, Chloe. Seriously," Red urged. I simply stared at her.
"It's nothing, really. Just something silly," I replied.
"Chloe, it's obviously something. Just share it with me!" Red insisted.
"Red, it's fine! It's in the past; can we please move on?" I responded.
"Chloe, I'm not moving on until you tell me. What the fuck is going on? Why won't you just be honest with me?" Red asked, her voice tinged with frustration. I felt choked up.
"Red, just drop it. I'm fine; everything is fine," I said.
"It clearly isn't, Chloe. Why won't you tell me? When have I ever held back from you?" Red pressed.
"Red, stop," I said, tears beginning to well up.
"No! Not until you tell me what's happening! Why are you acting like this?" Red shouted, her voice rising. Tears started to stream down my face, and I could see the regret in Red's expression.
"Do you really want to know? Fine, I'll tell you. On Tuesday, when I was in the library, Harry was there too. He followed me as I tried to leave, grabbed my wrist, and locked us in a closet. He started to kiss me and touch me everywhere, and I tried to fight him off, but I couldn't. That's why I changed my clothes; I didn't want to wear what he had touched me in. That's why I've been acting so strange—because he did that to me and i'm scared and uncomfortable. Are you happy now, Red?" I said, my voice cracking as tears flowed down my cheeks. Red's face fell, her shock evident as she processed my words.
"Chlo... I-I didn't mean to say that. Please," Red pleaded.
"No, just leave me alone," I replied, sprinting out of the dorm.
"Chloe, wait!" Red called, chasing after me. I dashed out of the building and into the woods where we had our first date. Red followed me all the way there, and when I finally collapsed onto the ground, I began to sob.
