IN THE MORNING(Red's POV)
———————————————————————————
In the morning, when I woke up, Chloe was already awake, nestled against me while scrolling on her phone."Hi, princess," I said, my voice still raspy.
"Hi, baby," she replied, meeting my gaze. I smiled, and she wrapped her arms around me.
"Someone's feeling cuddly today," I remarked, returning the hugged as she giggled.
"Yeah, I'm feeling affectionate," she admitted.
"Well, I absolutely love it," I said, leaning in to kiss her. She kissed me back, and we both laughed softly.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"It's almost nine," she responded. I looked at her in disbelief.
"You're telling me I'm up before nine?" I questioned.
"Uh, maybe?" she replied.
"The world must have it out for me," I sighed dramatically. Chloe shot me a playful look before returning her gaze to her phone.
"That's not true. You're becoming a morning person!" she teased.
"Absolutely not!" I protested, and she couldn't help but giggle.
"It's okay, love," she said with a smile. I closed my eyes again and felt her hand on my cheek as she brushed some hair behind my ear, making me smile.
"So, you're not going back to sleep?" she asked.
"No," I replied, opening my eyes to find her admiring me, which made me blush slightly.
"Can't keep your eyes off me, huh?" I teased.
She turned red and buried her face in my chest. I laughed and looked down at her.
"I can!" she insisted.
"Baby, you're basically staring at my chest right now," I said playfully. She lifted her head to meet my gaze.
"You're annoying," she said, rolling her eyes.
"Am I now? I wasn't so annoying last night," I quipped, feeling a sense of mischief.
"Just wait until I do that to you—ten times worse," Chloe said with a cheeky grin. My jaw dropped in mock shock, and she smiled innocently.
"You little freak," I replied, laughing.
"You're a bigger one than me," she countered.
"I'm not, but whatever," I said, still chuckling. She rolled her eyes again, and I leaned in to kiss her.
"Did that make up for it?" I asked.
"Mm, maybe one more," she said with a teasing tone. I kissed her again.
"Nope, again," she insisted, kissing me once more. I returned her kiss, and she placed her hand on the side of my face. When she pulled away, she giggled.
"I'm better now," she declared.
"And I'm the freak?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. She paused for a moment, contemplating.
"Well, that's beside the point," she replied, a playful smile gracing her lips. Just then, my mom texted, saying she wanted to take us out for breakfast and to get ready soon. At her message, we both climbed out of bed and began to get ready. I slipped on a casual top and jeans, while Chloe donned a lovely sundress.
As she worked on her makeup in front of the bathroom mirror, I stood in the doorway, admiring her the entire time. She caught me observing her and smirked.
