THE NEXT DAY(Chloe's POV)
———————————————————————————
In the morning, I woke up quite early—about an hour before my alarm. Red was still sound asleep, so I carefully got up to get myself ready. I was going to ask Uma whether or not there was class today since I hadn't received any emails or notifications. I quietly left and made my way to her office."Uma?" I called gently.
"Oh, hey Chloe! What's going on?" Uma replied as I walked in and took a seat.
"Not much, I was just wondering if we have class today," I inquired.
"Oh, I completely forgot to send out an email! Yes, there is class today! Are you sure you're feeling up to it? I wouldn't mind giving you the day off," Uma said.
"I promise I'm fine," I assured her.
"Alright then, have a great day, Chloe," she responded.
"Thanks, you too," I said as I left her office. Just then, I received a call from Red; I realized I had forgotten to leave something or text her where I was going.
"Chloe? Where are you? Are you okay?" Red asked as soon as I answered.
"Yes, Red, I'm fine. I went to Uma's office to check if there was class today because I hadn't seen any updates," I explained. I could hear her sigh of relief on the other end.
"Okay, but why are you up? It's only five in the morning," she pointed out.
"I just woke up. I'm almost back to the dorm. Love you," I replied.
"I love you too, Bluey," she said before hanging up. I arrived at the dorm a moment later and found Red lying on the bed, trying to fall asleep.
"Hi, baby," I said as I walked back in.
"Come here," she beckoned. I laid down next to her, and she cuddled into me. I smiled and wrapped my arms around her, pulling her in closer. Knowing she was tired, I decided to let her rest for the hour she had left. However, she didn't stay asleep for long.
"I can't sleep," she groaned.
"It's only been about 20 minutes," I replied, and she sat up.
"I guess I can get ready," she said. I giggled a little, and she smiled back. She went into the bathroom to change, and she didn't take long. After she finished, I began getting ready myself. I noticed her sitting on the counter, watching me as I applied my makeup. When I glanced over, I saw her smiling.
"What?" I asked, giggling a bit.
"Nothing, just you," she said. I shot her a playful look, and she returned one.
"Really, Red?" I teased. She started to giggle.
"What, Chloe? Can I not admire you? You certainly do it to me a lot," she responded, causing my cheeks to flush.
"W-what!?" I stammered, and she laughed as she got up to hug me. I rolled my eyes but hugged her back.
"See? You love me," Red said.
"Yeah, yeah, I do," I replied, both of us smiling. Red pressed a kiss to my forehead, making me blush even more.
"Lay off the blush today," she whispered.
"Red!" I exclaimed as she walked away, smirking. I finished getting ready while she sat at the desk. Once I was done, I plopped down on her lap.
"Why, hello there, princess. You look beautiful," Red said, wrapping her arms around me.
"Hi, baby. You look beautiful too," I replied. We locked eyes, smiling, until she looked away first, causing me to giggle.
"Can't even hold eye contact," I teased.
