IN THE MORNING(Red's POV)
———————————————————————————
I awoke to the sound of my alarm ringing from across the room. Chloe was still fast asleep, so I carefully got out of bed to turn it off. I wasn't in the mood for school today. After silencing the alarm, I tiptoed into the bathroom, gently lifted Chloe, and placed her in my bed to avoid waking her. I quickly threw on some sweatpants and a cropped shirt, styled my hair into two braids, and applied my makeup. Once I was ready, I returned to the room and sat on Chloe's bed.

"Red?" I heard CJ call from outside the door. I opened it to find her standing there.

"Hey CJ, what's up?" I replied.

"I wanted to check if you were awake. Where's Chloe?" she asked, peering past me. I stepped aside so she could see Chloe sleeping peacefully.

"Oh, is she not coming today?" CJ inquired.

"No, she can't. She's still throwing up," I explained.

"What's going on with her?" CJ asked as we both stepped into the hallway.

"Well, it turns out she's pregnant," I whispered. CJ's expression turned to one of sheer shock.

"Red, what? Does she know? This is insane," CJ exclaimed.

"She doesn't know yet. Only her parents and I are aware," I said.

"Red, you have to tell her. She's going to freak out!" CJ insisted.

"I know, but she's currently taking this pill that's supposed to help her expel what's happening. That's why she's been so nauseous. It's meant to work, but it might not," I explained.

"Well, it better work! Poor girl has been through so much already. She can't catch a break," CJ said, and I nodded in agreement.

"Trust me, I feel terrible for her," I replied.

"I know you do. It's evident," CJ said.

"Oh," I said, and she offered a small smile.

"Anyway, go grab your things so we can hang out downstairs with Freddy and Gael," CJ suggested.

"Alright," I replied. I returned to the dorm, wrote a note for Chloe, and also sent her a text. After gathering my belongings, I quietly left and went downstairs with CJ to meet our friends.

"Hey, Red! Where's Chloe?" Freddy called out.

"She's not feeling well right now. She should be back tomorrow," I informed them.

"Is that why she seemed so off yesterday?" Gael asked.

"Yeah," I confirmed, and he nodded sympathetically.

"Aww, poor girl. I hope she feels better soon," Freddy added, and I simply nodded in agreement. CJ placed her hand over mine, and I looked at her, managing a small smile.

"So, what's going on with you guys?" I asked, hoping to shift the conversation away from Chloe. We chatted until the bell rang for first period. Since I didn't have that class with them, I found myself alone as they headed off.

CHLOE'S POV
———————————————————————————
When I woke up, I noticed I was in Red's bed—though she wasn't there. I got up and glanced around, but Red was nowhere to be found. Checking the clock, I realized it was time for school. I looked at my phone and saw a message from her, along with a note on my nightstand. A smile spread across my face as I tucked the note away in the drawer. I reclined back on her bed and texted her to let her know I was awake. My stomach felt sore, and I still felt weak. I messaged Red, asking if she could come see me during lunch, and she replied that she would. I also informed my parents about how I was feeling.
