RED'S POV
———————————————————————————
In the morning, I woke up to find Chloe stirring as well."Good morning, princess," I said.
"Hi," she replied, turning onto her side to face me.
"Did you sleep well?" I asked, and she smiled softly.
"Yes, I did. How about you?" she inquired.
"Yeah, I slept well. When are we leaving today?" I asked.
"When we're ready. Chad and Audrey are driving us back. Audrey wants to see how Auradon has changed or something," Chloe explained.
"Alright," I said as she smiled and sat up.
"Well, we should get up now," Chloe suggested. I rolled my eyes, and she giggled as she headed into the bathroom. I changed into leggings and a crop top, and Chloe emerged wearing shorts and a hoodie.
"You look beautiful," I complimented, and she blushed slightly.
"You do too, love," she replied. I smiled and kissed her; she kissed me back.
"You're such a softie with me," Chloe teased.
"Oh, come on. I'm not that soft," I protested, and she rolled her eyes.
"Whatever. Let's head downstairs and eat quickly," Chloe said, and I nodded in agreement. We made our way to the kitchen, where Chad and Audrey were waiting.
"Are Mom and Dad awake?" Chloe asked.
"Yes, they are," Chad replied, pointing to them in the living room.
"Oh, hi!" Chloe exclaimed, and I giggled while placing my hand on her waist, noticing her face turn slightly red.
"Well, breakfast is on the counter. We were waiting for you kids to get up," their mom said, and we all laughed. We served ourselves some food and sat down to eat. Once we finished, Chloe and I grabbed our bags in preparation for our departure.
"Thanks for letting us stay," Chloe said, hugging her dad.
"Of course! I'm glad you're feeling better," Charming replied. I fist-bumped him and smiled. Chloe hugged and thanked her mom, while I offered her a side hug.
"See you girls soon! Travel safely, Chad and Audrey," Ella called as we left.
"So, has anything changed, Chad?" Audrey asked.
"Not much—just Uma is now the principal," he said.
"Wait, what? I haven't seen or talked to her in ages!" Audrey exclaimed, and Chloe and I exchanged amused glances.
"Yes, she is. She's a pretty good principal," I added.
"Yeah, she is," Chloe agreed.
"I bet she is. She always seemed like the type who would want to do that. Her goal was to unite all kingdoms and give them another chance," Audrey observed.
"That's why I received the invite," I said.
"And I'm glad you did," Chloe said, placing her hand on mine. I smiled, and she did too.
"Stop being so lovey-dovey," Chad interjected, prompting both Chloe and me to roll our eyes.
"Whatever, Chad," Chloe retorted, and he simply laughed. We spent most of the time chatting with Audrey as she asked about everything happening back home, while Chad continued to ramble on. Before long, we arrived in Auradon, where Uma was outside conversing with some guards.
