THE NEXT DAY(Red's POV)
———————————————————————————
When I woke up the next morning, it was to Chloe's alarm. I found myself wrapped in her arms, and the memories of the previous night flooded back to me."Morning, princess," I said as Chloe stirred awake to turn off her alarm.
"Good morning, baby," she replied. So it was true. I smiled, and Chloe returned the gesture as she sat up.
"So, you were serious about everything yesterday, right? You're not going to change your mind?" Chloe asked, her face hovering above mine.
"Yes, Chloe, I'm a hundred percent sure. I'm never going to change my mind about this," I reassured her. Her smile brightened even more, and I couldn't help but smile back.
"Well, rise and shine! Let's get going!" Chloe exclaimed, jumping out of bed. I groaned and buried myself under the sheets. A moment later, I felt her weight on top of me as she pulled the covers away from my face.
"You really need to become a morning person," she teased. I smiled and giggled.
"That's never going to happen," I replied. We both laughed as she wrapped her arms around me, and I returned the hug.
"Alright, it's time to get up now," Chloe said. I rolled my eyes, and she stood up and headed into the bathroom. I quickly changed, and then we switched places as usual. Once I was done, I opened the bathroom door in case Chloe needed to come back in.
As I rummaged through my drawer for my lip gloss, I suddenly felt arms wrap around me. I jumped slightly and turned to see Chloe behind me, hugging me tightly. I smiled and placed my hands over hers.
"Hey, Chlo," I said.
"Hi there!" she responded. We shared a soft laugh as she released me. I turned to face her, and she was grinning widely.
"What's with that smile?" I asked.
"I don't know, Red. Just let me smile okay," she replied. I gave her a playful look, and she chuckled. I wrapped my arms around her waist, and she draped her arms around my neck. As I pulled back slightly to meet her gaze, I noticed a blush on her cheeks.
"Someone's blushing," I teased.
"Whatever," she retorted, rolling her eyes. We both smiled, and I leaned in for a quick kiss. She turned her gaze away, and I couldn't help but laugh.
"You're so annoying," she said, looking back at me.
"That's just mean," I pouted.
"You know I'm only joking," she replied with a laugh, and I released her so we could finish getting ready. Throughout the process, she stayed close, watching me as I prepared. Once I was done, we still had some time to spare, so we settled onto Chloe's bed, enjoying each other's company.
"Can it just be the weekend already?" I sighed. Chloe chuckled softly.
"The weekend would be nice right now. Just to relax and enjoy some time in bed," she replied. We both giggled as I wrapped my arm around her in a hug, and she hugged me back. I pulled out my phone and snapped a picture of her while she was looking at me.
"Hey!" she exclaimed, and I couldn't help but giggle.
"You're going to be fine. It's just one picture," I reassured her. She gave me a playful pout, and I smiled in response.
"Can we just stay here today?" I asked hopefully.
"Nope! It's time to go!" Chloe declared, standing up and tugging me along with her.
