THE NEXT DAY(Chloe's POV)
———————————————————————————
During fourth period, right before lunch, my mind wandered endlessly. Could it really be that Red and I were going on a date today? But surely she didn't mean it in a romantic way... Why must love be so perplexing for me?

"Earth to Chloe," Red's voice brought me back to reality. I gazed at her, a smile playing on her lips.

"Hey, Red," I replied, trying to shake off my daze. She raised an eyebrow, concern evident in her eyes.

"Are you okay?" she inquired.

"Yeah, just lost in thought. I'm starving," I confessed. Red chuckled.

"Me too, but we only have two minutes until the bell," she remarked.

"Thank goodness," I sighed, and we both shared a laugh.

"So, where are we going after my class?" I pressed, eager for a hint.

"You'll see. Just be patient," she teased.

"Come on, Red!" I urged.

"Nope, lips sealed," she quipped, flashing a smile.

"Could you give me a clue, please?" I pleaded. After a moment of contemplation, she relented.

"Alright, here's your only hint—it's a place Chad mentioned to me, somewhere we've never visited," Red divulged. I looked at her puzzled.

"Was Chad involved in this?" I questioned.

"No, Chloe, he merely shared the location during our tour, but we never went," she clarified.

"He mentioned so many places, that doesn't narrow it down," I remarked. Red smirked, and I rolled my eyes. The bell interrupted our conversation, signaling the end of the period. As we made our way to lunch, my mind raced with anticipation about what awaited us.

RED'S POV(After school)
———————————————————————————
Chloe and I were walking towards her final class.

"This class better fly by. I can't wait," she remarked, prompting a smile from me.

"It surely will. I wish you didn't have this class so we could head out now," I replied. Chloe grinned as we reached her classroom.

"Well, I have to go. Goodbye, Red," Chloe bid farewell.

"Goodbye, Bluey," I reciprocated, exchanging smiles with her. She entered the class, and I swiftly made my way back to our dorm. I grabbed a basket of our favorite snacks and a blanket from the closet. Carrying them, I ventured out to the school's front lawn, where Chad awaited.

"Hey, Chad, thanks for coming," I greeted him.

"Hey, Red. I'm just as thrilled as you are," he responded. Grinning, we made our way towards the nearby woods.

"Are you sure you want to do this here, why not by the lake?" Chad inquired.

"I'm positive, Chad. I want to take her to a place we've never been before, a special spot we can revisit on every anniversary," I explained. Chad's expression softened.

"Oh, that's really sweet and romantic," Chad remarked. I chuckled as we arrived at the spot and began setting everything up.

"Do you have the note?" Chad asked.

"It's currently in the dorm. Do you want to see it?" I proposed.

"Absolutely," he eagerly agreed. Chuckling, we returned to the dorm, where I retrieved the note from a drawer and showed it to him.
