The days following the full moon are always a little difficult for Remus. However they were becoming increasingly harder due to Remus trying to hide many emotions.
In fact, he decided that he was going to ask her out.
He was going to make the first move, give Ava a chocolate frog and ask if she wanted to go to the three broomsticks with him. A location they had been to many times as friends. However, he hoped they wouldn't be going simply as friends. His first moment in the common room that afternoon just as he was about to tell Sirius his plan, was swiftly met with a disgruntled Sirius.
"Can you seriously believe she did that? I mean, what's gonna stop her from telling her friends?!"
Sirius paced back and forth, becoming more and more nervous by the second.
"Calm down Mate, if she tells Rose she won't say anything, if she tells Weasley she won't say anything either-"
"Weasley? What does she know?" Remus interjected, curious to see whatever this conversation could reveal."Weasl- Weasley might have been told something by her friend but we're not sure just yet."
Remus raised a brow.
"What would she have been told that's got you this worked up?"
He began to cross his arms, the aftermath of the full moon amplifying his impatience.
"Well- Artemis"
"Is Sirius' cousin by the way"
Sirius shot james a glance.
"Yes- my cousin Artemis was pissed off with me yesterday... and she uh. She may have uh-"
"Oh for Pete's sake spit it out!"
"She may have seen you turn last night!"Remus' face darkened, he couldn't have anyone else finding out about this! Especially not-
"Weasley won't say anything even if she had lots of evidence. Trust me"
Sirius looked at Remus unsure, he sent him a strange look which spoke volumes.
'Are you really sure?'Remus nodded, deciding that if he was going to go he needed to go now.
He hurriedly made his way to the Ravenclaw dorms, hoping of catching the girl before she entered.
And by the grace of some wicked god there she was, side by side with Artemis Black.Remus decided that Artemis wouldn't have anything lovely to say about him- and if she didn't already know she could very well tell her right then and there.
He decided the safe thing to do would be to return to the melancholy of his own bed. And, he swiftly made his way back. Biting his lip as he did.

"Arty, can I ask a question? It's quite invasive-"
"Don't call me that"
Artemis scoffed, rolling her sleeves down to distract herself.
"You can ask, doesn't mean I'll answer"
Ava sighed, realising arguing was futile.
"What's the deal with you and Sirius? He's your cousin and I get family doesn't always get along- I don't believe you cursed him, but did you do something?"Artemis shot her a glare so intense Ava could practically feel her soul being started into.
"What happened between me and my family is none of your bloody business. You're my friend, but keep your nose out, you won't like what you find."
