The next day
Kya had woken up from her sleep Treavon hands wrapped around her body as she stared at him her only focus today was on him , they haven't had a day by themselves. All this Dayvon & Tabatha mess has driven them apart a bit and Kya didn't want to mess up her relationship with the one person she truly cares about.
Kya thought about them having a day to themselves no drama , no Tabatha just them.
Kya moved Treavon hands he stirred in his sleep but he doesn't wake up , Kya decided her man deserves breakfast in bed .
Kya quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Treavon as she gently moved his arm from around her waist. His peaceful face, so relaxed in sleep.
Standing by the side of the bed, she watched him for a moment longer, a small smile playing on her lips. Today would be just for them—no drama, no outside noise. Just the two of them, enjoying each other's company like they used to.
Kya stretched her arms above her head, feeling the pull of her muscles, before padding softly out of the bedroom. As she walked down the hallway towards the kitchen, she let her mind drift to what she could do to make the day special. Her first thought was breakfast in bed—something simple but thoughtful to start their day off right.
She reached the kitchen, flipping on the light and heading straight for the refrigerator. The cool air brushed her face as she opened the door, scanning the shelves for what she needed. Grabbing a carton of eggs, she set it on the counter before reaching for the turkey bacon.
Next, she moved to the pantry, pulling out a loaf of bread and a bottle of vanilla extract. French toast with scrambled eggs and turkey bacon—that was the plan.
Kya started by cracking a few eggs into a bowl, whisking them with a little milk, sugar, and a dash of vanilla. She then dipped slices of bread into the mixture, soaking them just enough before placing them onto the hot skillet. The kitchen filled with the warm scent of vanilla and cinnamon.
As the French toast browned, she turned her attention to the turkey bacon, laying each strip carefully onto another skillet. The sizzle was immediate.
While everything cooked, Kya moved with a practiced ease around the kitchen, preparing the scrambled eggs next. She added a bit of cheese, knowing how much Treavon loved it when she did that, and stirred the eggs gently until they were fluffy and soft.
The sun was beginning to rise outside, casting a soft golden light through the kitchen window as Kya plated the food. She arranged everything neatly on a tray, adding a small vase with a single flower she had picked up the day before. It was a small touch, but she knew it would make him smile.
With everything ready, Kya carefully carried the tray back to the bedroom. Treavon was still asleep, his breathing steady and calm. She quietly set the tray on the bedside table before gently nudging him.
