After ten o'clock, with the sun high in the sky, Gu Jin finally woke up leisurely.

She stretched, revealing a glimpse of her smooth, jade-like waist beneath her nightgown.

The sound of running water came from the bathroom for a while. Gu Jin took out a tissue to dry her face and carefully examined herself in the mirror.

Perhaps it was due to having a different soul; the originally plain and indifferent face of the previous owner now radiated an overwhelming beauty in her.

To be honest, Gu Jin’s appearance was far from ugly—in fact, she was absolutely stunning. Her fair and dewy face was unadorned with makeup, and her pair of charming peach blossom eyes were full of emotion, adding a touch of allure to her beauty.

Combined with the original owner's serene and gentle dignified demeanor, the strong contrast between softness and allure was like a lotus emerging from the water in the morning mist.

An absolute weapon against straight men.

Unfortunately, her overly dignified, calm, and introverted nature caused her to lack a bit of personality. When she was with the passionate and lively Cheng Xin, people would inevitably overlook her.

The person in the mirror raised an eyebrow; she had no interest in being a mere backdrop in someone else's love story. Since it was destined not to be her main stage, she might as well be a pure spectator.

She had agreed to have dinner with her "boyfriend" Shao Chong yesterday. Standing in front of the wardrobe, Gu Jin began to pick out the clothes she would wear when going out. Although Gu Jin didn’t think much of a man who couldn’t stay faithful to one person, she had no choice but to deal with him for the time being.

Her gaze swept over the rows of outdated and drab-colored clothes hanging in the closet, and she finally chose the delicate little black dress she had bought yesterday.

Sorry, but she couldn’t stand her young and beautiful self wearing such old-fashioned clothes. However, she didn’t dare to change the original owner’s taste too drastically all at once, lest others notice something was off.

After applying light makeup, Gu Jin softened the seductive corners of her eyes, trying to minimize the difference from the original owner.

In her previous life, Gu Jin was over 1.7 meters tall and rarely wore high heels out of consideration for most men’s egos. Now, with her height of 1.65 meters, adding six-centimeter heels made her just over 1.7 meters, which she found quite satisfactory.

At eleven thirty, Gu Jin walked out of the apartment building with her handbag and immediately saw the low-key black Audi parked in front, as well as the man in white shirt and pants standing beside it with his head lowered.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Gu Jin quickened her pace and walked straight over, looking at him with a sincere apology. They had agreed to meet downstairs at eleven, but she had ‘accidentally’ overslept and was late.

"No problem, I just got here too." Shao Chong lifted his head at her voice, waved it off with a warm tone, and said, "Besides, you girls need time to put on makeup."

The girl stopped in front of him, bringing a fresh scent with her, making Shao Chong’s eyes brighten as he was clearly stunned. Gu Jin seemed a little different today, but if asked what was different, Shao Chong couldn’t pinpoint it. He hesitated and called out, “Gu Jin?”

“Hmm?” Gu Jin noticed the sweat on his forehead, her smile softening as she asked gently, “What’s the matter?”

“Nothing, nothing at all.” For some reason, Shao Chong felt his ears heat up, and he avoided her gaze, which seemed to hold endless affection. He glanced behind Gu Jin and frowned, "Weren't you going to invite the two of us out to eat? Why did only you come down? Where's Cheng Xin?"
