The Gu family villa has three floors.

The first floor is the reception area, the second floor houses Gu's father and mother, and the third floor is the domain of siblings Gu Jin and Gu Teng.

Holding onto the cool, white, European-style handrail, Gu Jin ascended to the third floor.

The first room on the right was her bedroom.

As she opened the door, she was greeted by beige wallpaper adorned with purple dandelions, and the room was furnished with a full set of ivory-white furniture. The wardrobe exuded a fresh lavender scent.

It was clear that even though she didn’t often stay at home, someone regularly tidied this room.

The overall impression of the room was one of elegant simplicity with a hint of warmth, perfectly matching the temperament and character of the original owner.

Amid the light-colored decor, the wooden desk by the window stood out.

On the desk were a few collections of essays and poems by famous authors, with annotations left by the original owner.

The handwriting was beautiful, just like the person herself.

Bored, Gu Jin flipped through the notes in the books, and before she knew it, twenty minutes had passed.

She rubbed her aching shoulders, marveling at how the original owner was such a literary youth.

Reflecting on the novels and comics stored on her own phone, and comparing them to the original owner’s refined tastes, Gu Jin couldn’t help but feel a sense of shame.

After two seconds of self-deprecation, Gu Jin leisurely lay on the bed, pulling out her phone to continue reading.

There was no other way; she was just an ordinary person who had transmigrated into the female supporting character. This extra life was a bonus, and after working herself to the bone in her past life without living well, now that she was free from worries about food and clothing, all she wanted was to live a more relaxed life within her limited time.

At four-thirty in the afternoon, Aunt Zhao, the cook who had worked for the Gu family for many years, arrived to prepare dinner.

Gu Jin took a shower, changed her clothes, and went downstairs.

Father Gu was sitting on the balcony reading the newspaper, while Gu Teng was sprawled on the sofa, holding a book of some kind.

Looking closer, she saw it was about computers.

Once again, she marveled at how the Gu family lived up to its reputation as a scholarly family—everyone in the household was an academic genius, and they were even more studious than the average person.

Take Gu Teng, for example. With the college entrance exams looming, he wasn’t even flipping through his revision books but was instead engrossed in something that piqued his interest. Father Gu and Mother Gu didn’t stop him at all; they even took a laissez-faire approach. Could it be they were that confident in their son’s academic prowess?

She vaguely recalled that in her past life, Gu Teng had attended the Computer Science Department at Imperial University.

As a self-proclaimed academic underachiever, Gu Jin couldn’t help but admire him.

"Aunt Zhao, let's have sweet and sour ribs tonight," Gu Teng said casually after finishing a page.

"Sure thing!" Aunt Zhao's bright voice rang out from the kitchen. She agreed readily but was puzzled. If she remembered correctly, Xiao Teng didn’t like sweet and sour flavors.
