"Aiden, are you crying?" I said. He was clutching the bag of chips to his chest, trying to hide his face but I still caught a glimpse of a tear.
The man in the movie named Dawson got attacked and killed by his brothers and when the girl he was in mutual love with named Amanda found out the news from her mom she was anguished. A year later after her son's accident and Dawson's death, she's talking to her son who's in college and he tells her that he knew the one who donated their heart to him, asking if she knew a Dawson. Amanda started crying happily and she hung up. The story was really heartbreaking.
"No, my eyes are just" I watched as he fanned himself with his hand "Sweating"
I bit my lip turning away to giggle quietly.
"Can we just" He turned off the tv and sighed "Go find Drea and Kurt? They missed the whole movie"
He was right. I was stuck with him the entire time alone. He didn't bother keeping snide or cheeky comments to himself either. When one of the sex scenes in the movie came on I felt his hand rubbing my foot, so I did what was logical and kicked him the hoo ha ha. He asked for it. When the night's over his swing swang will be dead and gone if he keeps pulling slick moves with me.
"Yeah, turn on the lights" I said. The room was really dark and it was starting the creep me out since I couldn't see anything.
I hopped off the couch deciding I would go see what the two lovebirds were up to. Leaving Aiden, I made my way out the living room and to Kurt's bedroom upstairs. I could only assume they left the kitchen and went up here.
"Kurt? Drea?" I knocked. No answer. I whispered a little louder, "Kurt? Drea?"
Still there was no answer. Slowly I turned the knob on the door pushing it open. The light from the hallway spilled into the room and illuminated two faces on the bed. Fully-clothed and dead asleep were Kurt and Drea on Kurt's bed. I sighed leaning on the door frame and folding my arms. They looked so cute together. Kurt had his arm wrapped around Drea's shoulder and Drea was cuddling up next to him, their free hands entwining. It was probably a stalker thing to do, watching them sleep but I couldn't help it.
I hope they make it far. Most high school relationships end once you graduate because of the whole 'I'm going to this college, you're going to this school' thing. There are other reasons but witnessing how all the senior girls were crying and boys were moping last year was mainly because of the first reason. I just hope my best friends won't turn out like that. They deserve each other. Looking in Drea's eyes the night she told me Kurt was gay and that he cheated on her told me she felt destroyed on the inside. Same with Kurt when she watched her walk away when he walked up to our table and how he was so vulnerable in the kitchen earlier tonight. Without each other, they were devastated. I was almost scared that they'd never make up. Drea still has to tell Kurt about her pregnancy and the plans she has for it. Whatever she chooses, I'll support her though.
"Aw, they're so cute" Aiden's voice rang in my ear. I jumped turning around to see him smiling at me.
"Jesus Christ" I jumped. Aiden reached across me and closed the door careful not to wake them up.
"Oh, I'm flattered but really I'm nothing compared to him" He winked.
"Stop doing that"
"Stop doing what?" He looked at me dumbfounded. I almost thought he was really oblivious to what I was talking about but then his lips curved up and he winked again.
"Aiden" I said sternly.
"Effy"
"Let's just go" I said walking away.
