"What's that in your hand?" I pointed out the pentagram tattoo.
"Oh, this one?" Emily raised it. "I had my tattoo done last night. Do you like it?"
Last night was already enough. I made a mistake making a joke about the aswangs and whatever evil this world has.Pentagram...that alone was enough to make me hate the revelations.
"Like it?" I chuckled nervously. Never thought my girlish girlfriend would get a pentagram tattoo. She seemed to be more into lipsticks and dresses. It was strange to have her a symbol to use magic or summon demons. "It's demonic."
"Demonic?" Emily said. "It's just a tattoo."We have an on-going tour to the University's museum. Emily and Dylan were walking alongside me, following our new history teacher.
The Nueva Bonifacio had several artifacts from the early 1700 and 1800. Old books and traditional outfit were displayed from both left and right.
Dylan pulled a Cookies and Cream Hershey chocolate from his pocket. "Want some?"
I was too distracted at the barong, (filipino traditional clothes) when Dylan handed him a bar. "No thanks."
We reached the far end of the room and looked at the wavy-bladed brown sword. Next to it was a charmed object called the Gold Luck. It was a coin-shape charm emblazoned with a dragon's skull.
"Charms and Pentagrams." I said, mostly to myself. "Cute."
Dylan glowered at me but I just waved it off and proceeded to the next.We stopped in front of an archives about Aswangs and creature of darkness. I listened carefully to our history teacher. Aswangs were interpreted to be a mix of vampire-witch-shapeshifting monster. I couldn't see any reasons why are real. If they were real. They could've taken out one human every night in the province area.
I picked up a book that had diary accounts of the Ancient One.
"I see you like to study myths." Emily said."Not really, I'm not into this type of history. Just out of curiosity..."
"The Zade I know hates that stuff." Emily leaned forward and kissed my cheek. "I'll go with Allen and Gabriella. See you later."
"Hey, Isaac, take a look at your loser." a voice said behind."Here we go again." I said as we turned around. Isaac had a recruited a well-built and muscular kid in their group.
He had big goldfish eyes and a natural filipino brown skin.
"Hello, Zade Burger." Isaac grinned widely. "This is our new friend, Morni.""Pleased to meet you, Monkey."
The boy's nostrils flared. "It's Morni. Former captain of the basketball in San Agustin. And you-"
"I said, Morni.""Careful, Zade." Isaac said. "Morni is strong."
"Also kind of an ass."
"Too early to piss some new student, huh, Zade?" said Isaac."Well, you were too early to poop in the museum's CR an hour ago."
His friends covered their mouths and laughed.
"Did you stalk me?"
"Stalk you?" I asked, acting flabbergasted. "Who are you? Daniel Padilla?"That took the best of him. "Well, some people told me I look exactly like him."
"No. Your mother must've. You look like Sid from Ice age."
"You really want to get in trouble." Isaac stood taller.
"There's no Zade when there's no trouble." I sighed.
Okay, I sounded like jasper now."What do you think, Mor?" Isaac asked his friend. "Should we punch the hell out of him?"
Morni clutched his hand around the collar of my school uniform. I tried to stay cool but they were getting on my nerves.
Ms. Santa Maria, our history teacher materialized next to us. Morni let go of my shirt. Ms. Santa Maria turned to me.
