How could you be ready for something that had the humungous potential to ruin your life if you got it wrong? Well, this one was...
Ash pulled the retractable swords. Even the oldest brother had the tempter of a raging fire.
The aswangs were already on their feeth, their eyes glimmering with rage.
Jasper jerked his head to find the source of the commotion. I knew I loved playfully beating my brother when we were little but it wasn't as worse as this.
Dylan warned me earlier not to jump into my reckless behavior but I didn't have the choice, Enrique was just below me and at any second he would kill my brother.
I grabbed the rope and I came free from the above. I slipped through where I stood as the rope suddenly coiled around my hand. Oh boy, this had gone so terribly.
Dangling over midair, I was swaying back and forth.
"Get those two!" Enrique ordered.
The room was in complete chaos; the aswangs raced towards the stage while the others surrounded Trevor and Ash, I could see that their backs were against each other, ready to lurch if one attacks.
One aswang threw three knife that shot past my arm. I began to scream hysterically. By some miracle, the last knife missed my head.
The room was suddenly flooded with light, refraining the aswang from approaching the stage.
I heard Dylan scowled at me as I braced myself for the landing.
I landed on the stage, in front of Jasper
I could've used my teleportation to land. "Bad Zade." I cheerfully muttered to myself.
Enrique staggered back and bared his teeth at me.
When the light died out, I tried to control the beating of my own heart.
"Let's get this real party started" I held up the pistols and began shooting the Aswangs from the side of the stage. Each aswang shrieked in pain as bullets tore through their bodies. Some stumbled off the stage, others collapsed on the floor and exploded into ashes.A wild-eyed Aswang brandished its dagger and tossed it over at me. I heard his fellow ally shrieked in agony, sinking probably into his chest and blew apart of dust.
I dived my way out and slid across the floor. I rolled over to my feet, and at the perfect time, pointed the pistol into the aswang's face and fired. I wasn't master in combat but I was sure master in my defenses. Thanks to my lovely bully, Isaac.
He deserved a credit and a high five...with a chair to his face. I whirled around to face another aswangs, a few feet away across me. I rolled my pistols and drew it at them. I pulled the trigger. The aswang ducked but he wasn't fast enough to dodge the bullet that pierced through his shoulder.
I imagined I could just have something very valuable power, so I could take them down, something like air. That would be cool.
"You look familiar, Did I threaten you before?" asked Enrique, standing beside me. He pointed a claw at me.
"I'm a Vasquez." I aimed the pistol at him.
"Do you think I'm afraid of your kind?" Enrique started to realize who he was facing. "Ah, the other one. What's your name, boy?"
"Zade Vasquez." I said as fierce as a lion.
"I could see the same eyes your mother has." Enrique smiled viciously. "The eyes of a true hunter. Your family has been good at slaying aswangs for generations. I've escaped them even if I wasn't a the aswang lord back then. You have me entertained."I frowned. "Are you really much of this of a talker?"
Jasper choked off. "He talks too much."
"Maybe I've underestimated you. However, you two are not under the protection of the law." Enrique proudly said. "No adult witchers could save you from your doom right now."
