(The Vasquez House)

"He did?" I suddenly lost all my hearing after Dylan told me that my brother push his classmate. "Wait, I think I have worms in my ears all of a sudden."
"Zade—"
"Specifically maggots."
"That's disgusting." Dylan grimaced.
He followed me back to the front porch where he took the plastic bag. "He haven't talked to me like a real family."

"Well, you haven't." He pointed at me. "Why do you have to such an asshole towards them?"
"Maybe you forgot how careless Jasper is. Especially..."
"I know." Dylan nodded. "But he's your brother too. Besides, this is probably the time you guys get together."
"I'd rather hang myself with a cute rainbow rope."

After the Sauce prank and the vice principal for discipline had us suspension for two days, I wasn't having the best time fixing our ancestral house. The chandeliers weren't working, I bought a new sink from local store.

Dylan knew too well that I really hated my younger brother more than I hated my older brother. Jasper was never present at the funeral. Only Ash was. And I hate it.

I just hate when anger fuels my head. It can make me think THE WORST in people.
I still wondered how could I manage the house? Sure, Dylan's here. No senior high school student can pull this off, paying bills while also paying a large amount of college tuition. Mom's BDO account was transferred to mine and to my half-brother, Ash.

But that doesn't mean the money will run forever. Sucks being a human, isn't it? How long would I last in this god-forsaken world if the prices keeps getting higher and higher?

You guys probably would say that I was being out of character. Well, there was nothing more I hated than my own younger brother.

Then the door burst open. Jasper with a bright smile ran towards us. "Hey, everyone! We're back!"
I didn't think. I acted. I punched my brother in the face.
He got up. "Nice to see you too, Zade."

"Z, what the hell?!" Dylan rushed to my annoying 16-year-old brother.
"Oh, sorry." I said casually to Jasper. "You startled me."

He was touching his nose. "Nice to see you too, brother."
I gracefully touched my knuckles. "I confess, it is my utmost intention to punch you in the face."
Translation: I miss you.
"I miss you too, Z."

"You'd rather have a brawl rather than a warm hug?"

We all turned around and Ash was at the doorway, giving us dagger looks.
