Chapter Five - The Cullens 

NOVA completely forgot about Alice's birthday party. She had texted her the details at noon the next day, while only slightly hungover Nova texted Alice back confirming the time. Harry, Draco and herself had stayed up late with a bottle of whisky, and music, chilling and hanging out. She could truly see the love between Harry and Draco. Draco is the more quieter one of the pair. Nova had allowed the pair to move into her guest room, which was magically added to her attic; she didn't mind and it would make work easier and both she and Harry worked for the same Department. Draco had joined the Auror office at the main office in New York, where Harry and Draco were originally living. 

"So my friend Alice is throwing a party tonight, a small one she says" Nova stated over a late brunch. They had headed to Cora's diner just off the freeway. The wizards wanted to see the town that Nova called home properly. "She said I could bring guests" In fact Alice's words were 'Your hot brother and his hot boyfriend could come'. Draco and Harry shared a look, they were openly holding hands on the table. The patrons of Forks did not even fuss about the couple. 

"I mean it could be good to get out for a little while" Harry shrugged "We haven't got work for another week" It was true The trio had taken some annual leave at the same time, well Draco and Harry had, and Nova worked from home a lot. "We could meet new people" Draco looked between the pair knowing full well he couldn't argue. 

"Fine but only for an hour or so" Harry agreed and so did Nova she wasn't sure about the ages of Alice and Jasper but she knew they weren't as old as Charlie and Billy, or even her age at thirty-five. the trio quickly dug into their pancakes and waffles. Nova found that the Americans currently knew how to cook the sweet treats. Even with The muggles back home celebrating 'pancake day' it still didn't compare to the fluffy fresh pancakes Cora made. Nova and Draco mainly spoke about the discovery of more families down on the reservation. It was quite a shock to him but he wasnt all surprised. He explained to Harry the hidden black family secret. Draco like Nova had often hated the fear of what her last name brought. They finished their coffees and food with Draco paying for them they headed back to Nova's Mini Cooper. 

"I want to pop to Port Angles, it's about an hour here, want to get something for Alice" Draco nodded

"We're gonna explore the town for a bit...see you at home" Nova nodded but handed Draco her house keys, she had yet to find them and gave them her spare key. The new wards put on meant that she could no longer apperate or disapperate inside her home. Nova sped out of the diner car lot, beeping as Harry and Draco headed to the main town to see what the small town had to offer. 

Nova had made it to Port Angles in record time, usually, it was an hour but Nova was quick and made it within forty-five minutes. she was impressed with herself. Parking up in the local mall, she headed inside, she had to give it to the Americans everything was indeed much bigger. The small itself must have been five stories high with twenty or so different shops heading into the first few she browsed the clothes. Remembering the way Alice was dressed, like her Nova herself, she had an eye for fashion. She looked mainly at boots which she knew Alice would have her eye on however she remembered she didn't know the pixie's actual size and skipped clothes. She also skipped chocolates, not knowing if she would be allergic to them. Flowers seemed to be the go too, but what would someone like her like? Roses maybe? It's cliche maybe. Nova walked around a little more sighing as she sipped on her soda. She loved shopping but not when she couldn't figure out what to get her new friend. Alice seemed to have a knowing feel about her like she already knew what you were going to say before you had even thought it. Nova sighed dejectedly, sipping on her soda. The mall was closing shortly and the crowds had dimmed. Spotting something shiny in a window Nova gasped as she headed to the jewellers. She smiled heading inside where there was a single lady at the counter putting things away by the look of it and a security guard who eyed her suspiciously.
