Chapter Six - The Ministry. 

CARLISLE couldn't believe his eyes. He hadn't seen Alistiar in at least a hundred years - he gasped before the pair hugged tightly. Alistair let out deep chuckles as he patted the blonde vampire upon his shoulders. "I see you have done well for yourself" the red-eyed vampire commented. He nodded towards Nova who grinned "Snagged yourself a Malfoy" 

"Hello Alistair" She greeted and hugged him. Carlisle looked between them both. Alistair chuckled as he nudged Nova.  

"You were right" he commented "he does look like a confused pup" 

Carlisle shook his head; "so how did both know one another?" He asked and she grinned 

"Alistair was a squib in his human years; he was the ahh Malfoy family pet" She commented with a nudge. "Alistair here got me out of many of my father's punishments" 

"I was assigned to protect the twins on the day they were born - was close to their mother" Alistair explained 

"He was shagging my mother more like" Nova commented of hand and Alistair rolled his red eyes before placing on some dark shades to cover them up. 

"So here we are then" Alistair commented; the group looked towards the official-looking building. A revolving door was the only entry and it towered over the city. "The Misntry, why prey tell are we here Malfoy?" 

"Because I need to see Bill Weasley" 

"Swing by the burrow" Alistair shrugged and She sighed 

"I need to do it officially" she stated like it was obvious. 

"No" he replied in a harsh whisper the yes darting to behind the group. Now he was closer and in the face of Nova she could see through his glasses his red eyes dancing. "You need to be seen doing it" 

There was a sudden pop and hundreds of voices filled the pathway, the car was long since gone, the flashing of lights had caused the vampires to go temporarily blind and Nova and the Cullens were slap-bang in the middle of it all.   

"Come on" Alistair had navigated through the gathering crowd; Carlisle quick to follow, Nova holding his hand tightly as the Cullen Children were hiding behind Emmett's large frame as he too followed Nova. 

Malfoy - can you tell us who this is

Nova is that your boyfriend?

Where have you been?

Did you know your father escaped again?

Is that why you are here?

Are you helping him?

Nova and the group breathed a sigh of relief when they entered the cramped Ministry halls. People stared at what the group wasn't sure - was it the way the Cullens had appeared like they were in a superhero movie or was it because Nova Malfoy had returned? 

Carlisle hand hadn't moved from Nova's as they walked through the hall, the crowd parting like the red sea; whispers bounced off the walls like an annoying buzzing sound. Carlisle followed both Alistair's and Nova's lead and kept his head held high. The children gasped as they saw more magic than ever. 

"Could you take them to the waiting room?" Nova asked Alistair as Emmett went to poke a particularly small wizard."I think they might break something - Carlisle and I have it from here" Alistair had given them a two-fingered salute before gathering the four like a herd of sheep and leading them away from the crowd.
