Chapter Nineteen - Saving Bella

NOVA shook as she paced across Bella's bedroom, Charlie was luckily distracted with his own game on the TV to notice the girls were back; Bella was shocked one minute she was in the field and next she was at home, the evening quickly setting across Forks. "I don't have time to explain everything - but yes I am a witch, yes the Cullens know, No your dad doesn't, yes you are in danger and no magic doesn't work against Vampires" Nova let out a sigh as Edward knocked on the window, Bella thankful for the distraction had bounced from her bed to the window with a clumsy trip. 

"Careful Bella" Edward whispered as he climbed through, catching her just in time. Edward looked over to Nova, "Carlisle is at home" he stated "He managed to track Ares" Nova nodded Ares thankfully had escaped in the fight between Nova and her father; he had been hiding down at La Push making sure the wizards didn't head that way also protecting the reservation. "he's on his way-" He was cut off with an almighty crash downstairs Making Nova, Edward and Bella head to the top of the stairs. 

"What the..." Charlie had hurried to his feet gun in hand. Ares had crashed through Charlie's front door, ripping it off its hinges. "Charlie" Nova called hurrying down the steps. 

"Nov, Bells when did you get back?" Charlie was thoroughly confused, but Nova had taken her hands to his face, making the elder man look at her. 

"I need you to remember Charlie, I need you" He was confused at first but then he let out a gasp as Nova's magic reached out and cancelled the Obviation charm; 

"Your house Nov, the lights ...the people?" Nova nodded quickly "You're a witch?"

"Yes" Nova gave a watery smile "What you saw is true, but we don't have time to do the whole answering questions...Ares...you know what to do" Ares barked and left the house the same way he came, bounding through the broken door and across the lawn to the forest, as deep within, built to be untraceable, were Draco and Harry. Nova had pulled out the baseball the Cullens were playing without from her pocket. 

"How did you get that?" Bella asked and Nova winked as she made the ball glow. 

"I need you to take this, it will take you away from here, you and Bella" Charlie was confused as she handed him the ball. "It's a port key, it will take you someplace safe" It glowed as Bella seemed nervous, Edward was stuck at the top of the stairs not alerting Charlie of his presence. "Bella please - I will explain everything when I see you next" Bella ignored her she tried to get upstairs to Edward but Nova was quicker using magic to get her near her father just as the ball began to hum. "I am sorry Charlie" Charlie gave a small nod and a smile. 

"It's okay English I get it" He winked at her as he took Bella's arm and the pair disappeared.

"Where did they go?" Edward asked quickly hurrying down the stairs

"Relax they're okay, they're just in Phoenix" She huffed rolling her eyes. Edward complained the whole time as Nova fixed up Charlie's front door and used the spare key to lock the door. She ignored his questions as she snapped his arm and then apparated them both back to the Cullen residence giving him no warning as the pair left.

"Jesus Eddie you would have thought you hadn't travelled that quickly before" Emmett commented as Edward dry heaved on the garage floor. 

"Did he fall for it?" Rosalie asked and Nova nodded 

"I believe so" the witch replied "Here are Bella's things" She handed the bag to Carlisle who grinned at her. 

"What?" Edward replied straightening up "That was planned?"
