Chapter Five - Hello Old Friend

EMMETT was the first to try and break into the North wing of the manor. on a dare from Jasper.  Alarms had rung for hours as Nova huffed and swore at them loudly as she tried to correct the charms placed upon the wing. Carlisle had sent them into the garden to cut the grass with a single walkalong mower each- and was told to use t a human speed. It was where they were currently. Nova watched the pair from her father's office on the fourth floor. She had been clearing it out, only having Carlisle for company. 

"He is just bored" Carlisle tried to explain to her softly Nova sighed and pulled away from the glass as she eyed her partner "They all are, we haven't had any contact with the outside world" 

"For that I am sorry" She commented "I can't lift the charm to on the house to allow for electronics" Nova paused as an idea came to mind. "no" she danced around the office, collecting her travelling Robe "But I know someone who can - get the children ready" She called as she bustled through the house. Carlisle shook his head and looked to his children, the girls now joined the boys and were cheering on their partners as the boys raced across the green

"Dippy" Carlisle called softly, the elf had appeared bowing as she did so - Alice had done wonders on the house elf's appearance, Alice had found a loophole in the elf's magic. It meant that if Alice and Dippy both acknowledged that Alice wasn't Dippy's mistress, then Alice could buy and give the elf as many clothes as she could have. This meant the poor elf had to play dress-up doll with the pixie-like vampire for five solid days as Alice found a style both she and Nova liked. Dippy cried for a week solid as she inspected her new uniform Rosalie had made from the pillowcase. It consisted of a plaided skirt in emerald green a white blouse, and an emerald green tie with an entwined C and M logo, which was designed by the girls; Carlisle would admit he liked the elf a lot more now and Nova had agreed as it showed the house sparkled.

"Master Carlisle" She announced bowing low Carlisle sighed no matter how many times he told her he wasn't her master she ignored him and kept calling him by that title. 

"Could you tell them children that we are going out, please...they need to get themselves organised" Dippy gave one nod, bowed low and disappeared and reappeared with another one of Emmett's shrieks in the garden to alert the vampires what was happening. The Cullens had found out the hard way that the house was soundproofed even to vampires when Ememtt had bounced through Jasper's and Alice's chosen room and found them in a compromising position. Alice for once not keeping an eye on the future didn't see Emmett bouncing through the door until it was too late - it was rather awkward at the dinner table that evening. 

Nova had met a grass-covered Emmett and Jasper in the hall, her eyes round as she took in the once white tee-shirts they wore were now stained green "Dippy has spent all morning waxing this floor - get out now" She cried as the boys shook the grass from their hair. It would have been serious if Nova hadn't started sneezing heavily - her eyes watering "Damn it" She cried out as she hurried to the kitchen for the Anti-allergy potions. Carlisle sighed again at their antics. 

"Remember this isn't our house and you all should know better" He reminded the boys; he didn't raise his voice but it was laced with disappointment - the boys knew then they were in serious trouble. " Go Get changed, I have got this" Alice and Rosalie followed their husbands up to their rooms and Carlisle used his vampire speed to sweep and mop the hall - so it sparkled once more. 

Dippy smiled brightly at the vampire as she presented him with a long black travelling cloak. "To keep up appearances" Dippy explained "The children have one each too" Dippy disappeared as soon as Carlisle had snapped it around his neck. it had given off a warmth, he wasn't sure why but he straightened it over his jumper and jeans. 

"It's given off what a normal human would admit in heat - where we are going, they aren't as dumb as the non-magical when it comes to vampires" Nova had explained; Carlisle had been lost in thought as he looked over Nova; she wore a tight black skirt and equally tight sleeveless top, she wore biker boots and her hair was pulled in a bun with her wand holding it together, She also wore a long deep green robe, which was clipped under her breast with a large Malfoy clip. there were noises as Emmett complained loudly at the robe. 

"Do I have to wear this thing? I look and feel like Dracula" he moaned as Nova looked over. Alice had worn a black cloak like Carlisle but unlike Carlisle, it had a hood, she was swishing it as she danced down the staircases. Jasper's matched Alice's style and he smiled as he thanked Nova kissing her cheek as he passed her. Rosalie's was deep blood red, her lips and nails matched and it was form-fitting over her long body, it was one where she didn't need to wear an outfit under it as it buttoned up to her high neck. 

"Trust me I've met Dracula, you look nothing like him Emmett"

"Wait Dracula is real?" he asked distracted "Can we meet him?"

"Emmett" Rosalie hissed at her husband Nova raised an eyebrow and smirked 

"Sure...if you want to die a most horrible death that is" Nova explained as she left the manor, she pulled her travelling robe closer to her as the wind picked up slightly, Carlisle held her hand as they walked down the long path. Waiting at the end of the track was a black car - Carlisle had seen them on the TV, They were used for royalty and it got him thinking. 

"Does the Queen know about you?" He asked as they climbed in, the car growing in size as the Cullen's got comfy. 

"According to Hermione, she does- They are told the evening of their coronation; just as the muggles elect a prime minster they tell them on the evening of their first evening in office" Carlisle nodded "I believe it's the same for your president too" She explains answering his next question. The car pulled away from the manor, jumping through traffic and going so fast that even their vampire eyes couldn't keep up with the ever-changing scenery. 

"Fuck" Emmett coughed as they pulled to a sudden stop; He groaned as the blood from this morning emptied on the path as he climbed out. The Vampires did look a little green and Nova let out a grin as she danced away from Emmett. 

"Merlin's beard if he's like that in the Malfoy cars, can you imagine on the Knight bus?" Carlisle spun on his feet to the familiar voice and he beamed at Alistair; the vampire's red eyes sparkling as he greeted his old friend. "Hello there old friend".....

A/N ALISTAIR IS IN THE BUILDING! So I am changing the canon a little ... well okay a lot, Alistair is going to be someone close to Carlisle - I want that brotherhood for him :). Cannon pairings are changing too :)
