Summary: JJ just announced her divorce from Will, and Claire Daniels (OC) uses her words of wisdom to make her feel better.

"I didn't even see it coming," Jennifer Jareau, aka JJ, tells the team at the bar. She was drowning her sorrows in liquor, no one blaming her one bit. Claire Daniels, the latest new recruit to the FBI, listened deeply. She and JJ became fast friends once she joined the BAU. Ever since then, they were practically joined at the hip. "He never gave out a warning? Never said he was unhappy?" Emily Prentiss asks as the team was listening to JJ's story. "No. He came home from work the other night and told me he wanted a divorce. I asked him why, and he just said it wasn't me, it was him, which means it's actually me. Is it because of how I work? The long hours? He knew what I did for a living when we met, so why the hell is he ending it without a fucking warning?"
"Geez. Did his folks know about it?" David Rossi asks, and JJ scoffed, "He wouldn't tell me that, which makes me think they did. His mom and I were so close, so I can't believe this is happening."
Claire couldn't hear this anymore and sat on the other side of JJ, who turned to you. "It's his loss, Jayje. You deserve better than a man who leaves you without a care in the world. You two have a son together. Did he even think what this will do to him?"
JJ chuckled dryly, "No. I mean, Henry's only 4, so he probably won't understand much but that's what I brought up in discussion when I spoke to him. I was like, do you not want to fight for us? What can I do to change? Is there someone else? He fucking flinched at the mention of that, so I knew he had been doing something behind the scenes. I just, I don't know anymore, you guys."
"I'll tell you what to do, JJ," Claire says confidently, or maybe it was because she was a little tipsy. "Tell Will if he wants a divorce, then go get it. But if he does, he will never have anything to do with you ever again. Say if he comes crawling back, you won't be there to welcome him back. Tell him he destroyed your family. Tell him Henry may hate him one day for what he's doing to you. He's a fucking jackass, JJ, and he needs to know what kind of bitch he's becoming."
The team all looked at her in shock, not aware of who she is when not completely sober.
JJ just looked at her and then burst into giggles, along with the others. "Damn, Daniels, nice words of wisdom. I might take you up on that." Claire smiled and shrugged as she took another sip of her drink. "I should drink with you guys more often."
"I agree Will is a jackass, but he's not a bad father. Henry may be angry with him one day, yes, but I don't think ridiculing him as a father is fair." JJ sighed. "What he's putting you through isn't fair either, JJ." Claire responded. JJ nodded. "I know. I'll tell him off, maybe use some of your words, but I'll twist some of it as my own." Claire laughed, "Whatever works for you, JJ."
"You're a good friend, you know that?"
"I know. I'll always be here for you, Jayje. You're my best friend."
"Hello? We're trying to enjoy ourselves here." Derek Morgan spoke out in a joking manner, causing you two to laugh.
