(Father-daughter relationship)--
"Perche dovresti tenerla lontana da me?!" David Rossi yelled at his ex over the phone. "Perche non eri adatto a diventare padre." The woman hissed back, and David sighed. "She's my daughter, Maureen! You just cannot assume I'd be a horrible father, which I am not, by the way. I have another daughter with someone else and I exceeded all expectations as a father. Do not try to manipulate me into believing I am not a good guy. I work for the FBI for crying out loud! Can you at least tell me her name?"Maureen paused for a second before giving in, "Allison."
"What is she like?" He asks her, and all of a sudden, he heard a knock at his door. He sighed before telling his ex, "Hold on for a second." He walked to his door, answering it, revealing an attractive woman in her mid 30s. "Are you David Rossi?"
"Yes, who are you?" He asks, and the woman took a deep breath before telling him, "My name is Allison Walker. I believe you're my father."
David froze, and put the phone up back to his ear, "Maureen, our daughter is at my door right now."
Maureen began to freak out, "Non credere a una parola di quello che dice, David!"
David scoffed, "Arrivederci, Maureen."
He hung up the phone and let Allison in. "You spoke to my mother?" She asks, and David nodded. "Yeah. I found a picture of your mother and I while I was digging through some things. It's kind of a long story with her and I. We only dated for not even a year and I had no idea she was even pregnant with you. She and I ended on bad terms and it had been a while since I've heard from her so I called her to see how she was, and well, that was when she told me about you. It didn't sound like she had planned on telling me, so it was a good thing I called her."
He and Allison sat down on his couch. "So how did you find me?" He asks her, and Allison chuckled, "Well, it's kind of hard not to find you since you've written a lot of books. My mom told me she was involved with someone named David so I didn't think much of it and then one day, I saw her reading one of your books so I asked her about you, and well, long story short, she told me so many lies about how bad of a guy you were to her, and that you weren't father material so I did my own digging because I could no longer trust a word she said. I, uh, hired someone to find you and well, here I am." Allison replied, and David grinned. "Well, I am so happy to finally meet you after all these years. I, uh, have another daughter with someone else. Her name is Joy and I met her really late too. She has a son, your nephew. Whenever you're ready to meet them, I can see if either they can come out or we can go to their place."
"Uh, it might be a while before we're able to do that. I just want to get to know my dad right now." Allison says truthfully, and David nodded in understanding. "That's fine. Would you like to go grab lunch and we can talk more?"
Allison nodded happily, "I'd like that."
David smiled as he and Allison got up and headed out the door, where they went to grab lunch at an Italian place (it's only fitting, duh) and got to know each other, and eventually, David introduced Allison to the team who were all very welcoming. After about a month, Allison and Joy finally met, along with Joy's 5 year old son.
Although his relationship with Maureen ended badly, it wasn't going to stop him from making the same mistake with his daughter.
