Summary: Everyone knows Morgan and Garcia have a flirty friendship, and it's all fun and innocent...but what if it accidentally turns into something more?

Warning(s): None :D

also to add, I will not be doing smut for Morgan and Garcia bc it'd be weird and awkward to write. I ship them mostly as friendship but a little romance doesn't bother me :)

This is part one. I'm planning on making a part 2 in the near future :)

"What's cookin' good lookin'?" Derek Morgan greeted his baby girl, Penelope Garcia, in her office, and she turned around quickly in her chair. "Derek, don't sneak up on me like that. You know what I said about coming into my lair of greatness without my knowledge."

Derek laughed and put his hands up in defense, "Sorry mama." He bent down and kissed her cheek, and finally looking at her screen. "What is Hotch having you do?" Penelope sighed, "Just some computer tech stuff I need to study for. I have an important exam coming up and Hotch wants me focused."

Derek frowned in confusion, "An exam on computer tech stuff? Since when was that a thing?"

"Since last week apparently. The test is this week so if you don't mind..."

Derek shook his head, "Baby girl, looking at these potential questions, I think you already know the answer to just about all of them. Hotch knows you'll pass, why is he making you take this?"

"It's not Hotch. It's the director, and he just wants me to prove how good I am without all this hacking stuff that I left behind in the past."

Derek scoffed, "I'll go to the director myself-"

Penelope turned around and gave him a small smile, "Derek, I love you, you know that? But I don't want you fighting my battles for me. I don't mind taking this exam and I know I will ace it." Derek smiled flirtatiously, "Then why don't you skip studying and come hang out with me tonight?"

Penelope glanced at her screen and realized Derek was right. She could pass this exam with her eyes closed. She began to turn everything off. "You're right. If they ask, I'm studying at home." She giggled, making Derek smile big as he walked her out of her lair, closing the door behind them.

"Reid did what?" Derek laughed as he and Penelope were drinking their alcoholic drinks while sitting on Derek's couch. "Apparently he ripped his favorite sweater while trying to open the drawer at his desk, and he didn't even notice until the end of that night, which was hilarious. He's smart, but he's also oblivious to a lot of things at times." Penelope laughed with him, as they put their glasses down.

"This is nice. Why don't we do this more often?" Derek asks, rubbing her hand. "I don't know. I miss us hanging out. Ever since Savannah and Kevin walked into our lives, things changed."

"Do you really like Kevin, Penelope?" Derek asks, his facial expression being serious, and Penelope chuckled softly, "Why do you ask me that?" Derek shrugged, "He seems a little goofy. He doesn't seem mature."

"He's totally mature, Derek." Penelope defended her man.

"Baby girl, his phone ring tone is the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song." Derek told her, and after a brief silence, they both laughed. "Okay, okay, I see your point, chocolate thunder, but he's a good guy."

"I know, I never said he wasn't."

"Well, what about Savannah? Do you really like her?" Penelope asks, raising her eyebrow. Derek nodded, "Yeah, she's great."

"There was hesitation on your face, mister. Spill it." Penelope demanded with a hint of excitement in her voice. Derek chuckled. "Okay, well, Savannah wants to start a family and get married."

Penelope gasped and held his hand, squeezing it, "What's wrong with that?"

"It's too soon to start thinking about having a family, Garcia. She and I have only been dating for less than a year." He sighs, and Penelope completely understood, nodding her head. "Oh, so you're not ready."

"No, and I haven't exactly told her. We don't even live together."

"So you're really not ready then. I mean, that's fine. Everyone is different, and I totally get it. But before things go too far, you should probably talk to her about it." Derek smiled at his best friend's advice, knowing she was right. "Yeah, you're right."

"Damn right I'm right." She joked, and Derek pulled her close to him. "I love you baby girl."

"I love you too, my handsome dark chocolate."

They both laugh, as Derek grabbed the remote. "Want to watch a movie?" Penelope nodded, and Derek turned on Netflix and picked a horror movie. "Really, Derek? It's bad enough I see enough horror on my screens every day." Penelope says, and Derek grinned. "Hey, at least if you get scared, I'll be right here to hold you."

Penelope smiled at him and then nodded, giving him the okay to press play.

During the movie, Derek and Penelope's hands were intertwined without even realizing it. Derek finally looked down and saw it, but to his surprise, he didn't mind. Penelope squeezed his hand after a scary scene came on, and she cuddled into him, and he let her. She looked up at him apologetically, "Sorry."

"You don't have to apologize, baby girl." He tells her softly, brushing a blonde hair behind her ear. Their eyes stayed locked into each other's, and Derek could feel himself leaning in, with Penelope doing the same. Their lips touched softly, with Derek leading the kiss. He deepened it for a second before they quickly pulled back and off each other, their eyes widening.

What did they just do?
