"Ghhh!" Tohka hissed in pain as she was hit with a high speed counter punch at the temple of her head. "What's wrong, passing out already?" Y/n taunted as he stopped in place to goad Tohka into attacking him. "Heh, what do you mean? Your attacks are nothing but mosquito bites!" Tohka retorted and dashed towards Y/n.
"As expected. You won't go down in a single hit!" Y/n replied and summoned a three sectioned staff and swung it at the same time with Tohka's swing. A shockwave spread out through the canyons and some rock formations had shattered due to the sheer power that they let out. A high level exchange was then initiated, with Y/n swinging the staff at different angles while Tohka was parrying and deflecting them while also trying to get in hits which were evaded.
So far, none of the hits were hitting each other. It's as if the whole fight was nothing but warriors dancing using their weapons with how fluid each step and movements are despite the two engaging in close ranged combat. Everyone in Fraxinus alongside Ryo, Jakob, Johannes, and Shido were at awe, as this was a showcase of skill and power. Besides, it was a rare sight to see two Spirits go at it for the sake of a spar.
"So that's what the Second Coming of Chronos is capable of," Johannes spoke in awe, clearly enjoying the show while Ryo was being quite observant which wasn't left unnoticed by Jakob. "Hm, something wrong, partner?" Jakob asked, and Ryo immediately stated, "Y/n's has been fighting aggressively throughout the start. Normally, he'd take distance and watch closely, especially since he should be trying to gain back his battle sense."
"Maybe it's because of their rivalry? Tohka and Y/n seem to compete a lot whenever they can find a competition between the two," Shido tried to explain the reason why. "Probably, he has been itching to fight ever since he got stopped from doing so due to his exams. However, how did he get Tohka to do so?" Kotori wondered and Johannes raised his hand to answer it.
"He took advantage of Tohka's frustration of not being able to be with Shido for the school trip," Jakob answered, as he was alongside Y/n after class. A while ago, Tohka was complaining about how she couldn't be able to group up with Shido for the whole trip at Arubi Island for three days. "Why?! I can't be with Shido for the whole trip! It's so unfair!" Tohka whined as she was slamming her fists over and over on the clubroom's table.
She was throwing a tantrum, and Shido or anyone mature enough isn't there to calm him down and it was dangerous as this may mean that her powers will run haywire anytime soon. "Hey now, it's just a couple of days. Besides, it's not like you won't see Shido in the whole trip. You just won't be able to sleep beside him like you used to," Y/n teased and Tohka tried to smack him in annoyance as the former playfully dodged it.
"You're not helping..." Tohka whined as she was still frustrated at the fact that she'll be separated with Shido. "If you're wondering if Origami will attack you while I'm not around, she won't. Besides, if you're really distrustful of Haruka, you can go with the Ai, Mai, and Mii. They won't hurt you," Y/n reassured, trying to convince Tohka that she'll be fine, but she wouldn't budge at anything Y/n says.
"Yeah, this is gonna be tough, and Shido is busy talking with the commander..." Johannes spoke as Y/n rubbed his head in desperation, muttering, "Please forgive me for what stupid shit I'm about to do." Approaching Tohka, Y/n then used this as an opportunity to get rust off his system by suggesting:
"How about we spar for a while? First one to fall has to treat the winner anything they wanna buy as well as
