"Oh, ho? I made a miscalculation? What's that then, my dear master~?" Kurumi teased and Y/n gestured for her to come closer. Seeing the arrogant bravado Y/n had, Kurumi took it lightly, doing what Y/n told her to. As soon as Kurumi got into range, Y/n had a devious grin, and was about to kick her in the chin. However, the movement was too telegraphed, and Kurumi had thought, 'Heh, predictable,' as she moved her head back.
Immediately, the kick then changed its course. Instead of it being aimed at her Kurumi's chin, Y/n had aimed for the ground, and kicked out large amounts of dust which caught the Spirit off guard. 'Clever, but that won't be enough!' Kurumi declared as she took out her flintlock pistol to aim where he was going to. However, before she could turn around, she saw Y/n's fingers in front of her all sharpened up to claw or slice at her right eye.
As dust settled, Y/n's fingers became normal once more as he turned around. "It's the perfect counter for someone who relies on technique, accuracy, or depth perception. I don't use it because I don't have the capacity to capitalize on it fully. Besides, you can regenerate by turning back time, so it's useless against you," he stated, referring to his experience of having a time limit on using Reiryoku in general as well as how useless it is against those who can heal.
"I think you can unleash at least like 70 percent of it without any drawbacks. If I remembered correctly, you never had any side effects or drawbacks after you sparred with Tohka. Still, point still stands, you're too kind," Kurumi reiterated that Ellen will still exploit the rest of his weaknesses.
"Don't mistake my kindness as a weakness. I may be nice, but not on the same caliber as Shido. However, as of today,
I'm making an exception,"
Y/n spoke in a threatening and cruel tone, as if his voice was laced with the intent to kill. Kurumi was amused by this side of Y/n. To her, it was like seeing a male version of herself in front of a mirror. "Heh, do as you will. It seems like we have the same sense of justice after all," she mused, clearly enjoying this whole conversation. As she dissolved in the shadows, she then gave a quick warning to Y/n which was:
"Just don't become like me, okay?"
'Like hell I will," Y/n muttered as he left the forest to go for a jog again.
As evening arrived, Y/n was returning back to the lobby room when he met Shido. "Oh hey, I heard you got into an argument with Reine. You finally cooled your head yet?" Shido asked and Y/n nodded. "A bit. Hey, let's take a bath first before we get back to eat," he suggested and Shido agreed since the latter was asked to guard Y/n.
As the two friends went on their way to the baths, Shido then called out Y/n, saying, "Hey... Reine asked me to say this but...If she ever finds out you went to fight Ellen, she'll force me to seal you." This made Y/n afraid, knowing the whole Ratatoskr will pull out all stops so that they would pacify him and Reine took account that he might revoke the Supervisor System.
"Trust me, I'm afraid too, knowing how the process goes. Let's just forget about it right now," Shido tried to divert the topic away as he and Y/n then went to the male's bath and immediately dived into the water. "Woohoo! Finally, some peace and relaxation!" Y/n cheered as he splashed the water around like an immature child.
