My car was flipped over, glass spread all over the concrete. The wreckage was a scene of chaos and destruction. As I struggled to regain my senses, my shirt and jacket were scrapped up, blood dripping down my head. Pain coursed through my body, but my immediate concern was for Jj who lay unconscious a short distance away.

I couldn't comprehend what had just happened. One moment, I was driving along normally, and the next, my tire was shot off, causing my car to spiral out of control, flipping and rolling uncontrollably. The seat belts had given way, flinging us from the vehicle. It was a stroke of luck, considering the car had burst into flames, but it offered no solace for the loss of my beloved car.

As I crawled towards Jj , struggling against the pain and disorientation, I became acutely aware of a presence behind me. Suddenly, I was kicked over onto my back, my body protesting the abrupt movement. I found myself staring down the barrel of a shotgun, my heart pounding in my chest. I looked up and met the gaze of the person pointing the weapon at me.

The women was wearing tight jeans, green top, leather jacket, and dirty blonde hair. She wore a smirk that sent shivers down my spine. "Hey kiddo," she greeted me with a chilling smile. It was Kate. Her appearance was unmistakable .

My eyes widened in alarm, and anger surged within me. "Kate," I spoke her name with a harshness that betrayed my emotions. "Ah, is that any way to greet your aunt?" she taunted, her tone laced with amusement.
"You're DEAD!" I exclaimed, my voice filled with a mix of rage and desperation. But my attention was quickly drawn back to Jj, lying motionless on the ground. I glanced at him, my concern mounting.

"Don't worry Kiddo," Kate said dismissively, her voice dripping with sadistic pleasure. "The ambulances will be here in about ten minutes. By the way, he's quite cute, very handsome!" she taunted, relishing in my distress. I glared at her, my eyes burning with fury. She flinched momentarily, perhaps sensing the depth of my anger. "I'll kill you for that," I threatened, my voice filled with a cold determination.

A wicked smile played on Kate's lips as she leaned closer, still keeping the shotgun trained on me. "I'm sure you will," she taunted, her voice a whisper. "But first, I'm going to need something from you." With those words, she struck me with the butt of her shotgun, sending a searing pain through my body.

I awoke with a start, gasping for air. The room was quiet except for the sound of my heavy breaths. Sweat dripped down the side of my head as I realized it was just a nightmare. "Easy, you're okay," Allison's comforting voice broke through the lingering fear.

I tried to steady my breathing, taking in her reassuring words. "It's just a nightmare," she repeated, her voice filled with warmth and concern. As I calmed down, a gentle hand touched my shoulder, causing me to jump slightly. "Hey, it's okay, just a bad dream," Allison reassured me, her touch offering comfort. "Yeah," I replied, my voice still tinged with residual unease. "Get some sleep if you can," she suggested before pulling me into a hug, her embrace providing solace in the midst of the lingering fear.

Later, as we descended the steps of the school, Isaac and I engaged in a conversation about recent events. "Barrow went after kids with glowing eyes? Said those exact words?" Isaac asked, his voice filled with disbelief. Barrow, the shrapnel bomber who had escaped from the hospital, seemed to be on a dangerous path.

"Yeah, and no one knows how he woke up from anesthesia," Stiles chimed in, joining our conversation. "Just that when they opened him up, they found a tumor full of live flies, which in any other circumstance would be all kinds of awesome," he added with a touch of sarcasm.
