"This looks just like me," Kira said, her voice filled with astonishment as she gazed down at the old photograph Stiles and Malia had found hidden in the wall from World War II. The date, 1943, was written on the back in faded ink. "This has to be my grandmother," Kira told me, her eyes full of wonder.

"You remember, Malia? She was the last one to see Stiles alive at Eichen House, and this picture was found there," I explained, showing her the old katana they had discovered. "With a body buried in the wall," I added, my voice tinged with a mix of intrigue and concern.

"The backwards 5, the Oni put on you, Scott, and the others, was on the wall. This seems to connect back to your family, your grandmother, and your mom," I continued, attempting to piece together the puzzle before us.

Just as we were absorbed in our thoughts, Kira's phone rang, interrupting the moment. "What is it?" Scott asked as he entered the room, passing Kira a drink after her visit to Elena regarding Stiles.

"It's my dad," she replied, her voice filled with a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty.

Kira and Scott hurriedly made our way to the school, entering the classroom to find Kira's parents. However, to our surprise, Kira's dad was choking, struggling for breath. In a swift motion, Kira's mom passed her mom the magic mushroom, and he coughed up a flyer fly. "Stiles did this?" Scott questioned, his voice laced with urgency and concern.

"He wanted the last kaiken. I've kept this near me ever since your friend disappeared," Kira's mom said, holding a black steel blade that looked unlike any other. The weight of the moment hung heavy in the air as Kira's mom's words echoed through the room.
"Mom, you need to talk to us-about everything," Kira insisted, her voice determined as she passed her mom the photograph Malia and Stiles had found at Eichen House, which had made its way to Aria and eventually into our hands. "Where did you get this?" Kira asked, her eyes searching for answers.

Her mom's response sent shockwaves through the room. "Is it Grandma?" Kira's hopeful voice filled the silence. "No... It's me," Noshiko answered, her voice filled with a wisdom that surpassed her apparent age.
"If that's you, then you'd have to be, like, ninety years old..." Scott's words trailed off, his disbelief evident.

"Closer to nine hundred," Kira's mom clarified, revealing a truth that was far beyond our comprehension. "Okay. Sure. Why not? Dad, how old are you?" Kira inquired, her eyes shifting towards her father, seeking confirmation. "Forty-three. But, I've been told I look mid-thirties..." he confirmed, his voice tinged with a mix of confusion and acceptance.

The shattered blade on Ken's desk served as a stark reminder of the past. "The blade shattered the last time it was used," Kira's mom explained, her voice carrying a weight of history. "When was that?" Kira asked, her curiosity driving the conversation forward.
"1943... Against a Nogitsune," Kira's mom revealed, her words transporting us back to the dark days of World War II.

"All this-it's all happened before, hasn't it?" Scott interjected, his voice filled with a mix of awe and realization. "Yes," Kira's mom confirmed, her voice steady and resolute. "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it," she quoted, her words carrying a profound truth. Scott's question hung in the air, waiting for an answer. "Where did it come from?" Kira asked, her voice filled with a mix of curiosity and concern.
