The atmosphere in Gryffindor Tower was buzzing with anticipation. Whispers of an important announcement had circulated all day, leaving students on edge as they speculated about what it might be. When Professor McGonagall herself entered the common room and called for all Gryffindors to gather in the Great Hall, the excitement reached a fever pitch.

Elena walked alongside Hermione, Harry, and Ron as they made their way down to the Great Hall. Even Ron, who was usually less enthusiastic about these kinds of things, seemed curious. The whispers of their fellow Gryffindors filled the air, everyone wondering what could be so important that it warranted gathering the entire house.

As they entered the Great Hall, they noticed that the other houses were filing in as well, but Professor McGonagall directed the Gryffindors to a particular section near the front. Elena caught Harry's eye, both of them exchanging a glance that said, "This must be big."

When everyone had settled, Professor McGonagall stepped forward, her expression as stern as ever, but there was a glint in her eye that hinted at something more.

"Students," she began, her voice commanding the attention of the entire room, "as you know, the Triwizard Tournament is a time-honored tradition, and with it comes a celebration—one that many of you may not be aware of. This year, Hogwarts will host the Yule Ball."

A ripple of excitement ran through the hall. The Yule Ball. Elena had heard whispers about it but hadn't been sure if they were true. Now, as Professor McGonagall confirmed it, the reality began to sink in.

"The Yule Ball is a traditional part of the Triwizard Tournament, and it is open to students in their fourth year and above. It will be a night of dancing and celebration, and an opportunity for you to represent Hogwarts with dignity and grace."

Elena's thoughts began to race. A ball? Who would she go with? She couldn't help but wonder if Harry would ask her. The thought made her heart race, but she quickly pushed it aside, not wanting to get her hopes up.

Professor McGonagall continued, "Now, in preparation for the Yule Ball, it is important that you all learn how to properly dance. Therefore, we will be holding a brief dance lesson to ensure that you are all adequately prepared."

The excited murmurs grew louder. Dancing? Here? Now?

"Mr. Weasley," Professor McGonagall called out, causing Ron to freeze in place. "Would you kindly join me for a demonstration?"

The entire hall erupted in laughter as Ron's face turned as red as his hair. He hesitated, looking around as if hoping for an escape, but there was no getting out of this one. Reluctantly, he stepped forward, shooting a pleading look at Harry, who merely shrugged in sympathy.

As Ron joined Professor McGonagall at the front of the hall, she took his hand and placed his other hand on her waist. Ron looked like he might faint. The laughter around them grew, but McGonagall remained as composed as ever.

"This is how you will hold your partner," she instructed, ignoring the giggles. "Now, Mr. Weasley, if you please, we shall begin."

They started to waltz, and Ron moved awkwardly, trying his best not to step on Professor McGonagall's toes. The entire hall was in stitches, and Harry leaned over to Fred and George, whispering, "You're never going to forget this, are you?"

Fred and George, who were watching the scene with wide grins, responded in perfect unison, "Never."

As the demonstration continued, Elena couldn't help but join in the laughter. Poor Ron looked like he wanted the ground to swallow him whole. But to his credit, he managed to get through the dance without causing too much harm, and when it was over, Professor McGonagall released him with a nod of approval.
