We tried to tell Vince about the new plan we had to get Minho. Let's say he wasn't so happy.
"Are you guys insane? No I'm not gonna put in danger my people just for a man. You don't even know where you're going."
"I do. The Last City. It's the lion den." Jorge said.
"It's nothing we haven't done yet." Thomas tried
"Just hear us Vince please-" I was cut off
"No! I lost everything last time remember!? You're not going anywhere!" he screamed
"WE LOST EVERYTHING TOO! We all lost someone we love and care about but we won't give up now!" I screamed back "Not now when we are so close to burn down WCKD."
He sighed. "Look kids it's dangerous-"
"Zone B checked. Going to zone A." It was bergs. Looking for us.
"Turn off the lights now! Hurry!" We all rushed to hide.
"You're right, we can't stay here for long." Vince told me.
I don't give a fuck if it's dangerous. I'm going after him alone if I need to. I was on my way to stole a car from the garage.
"Where are you going alone girl?" It was Newt.
"After Minho. Alone. You're not coming with me, I'm not putting your life in danger Newt."
"Well good thing I'm not alone." He opened the car and it was Fry at the steering wheel and Thomas behind him. "Hi Leah good to see you." Fry said.
I sighed "Really?"
"You really think we didn't know you were going to sneak out and go after him?" Thomas chuckled at me.
"We are going to do this together okay? Family." Newt said
"Family." I gave up and I looked at them for a minute. "Alright let's go get him." I smiled and got into the car next to Thomas, Newt went in the right front seat. Minho we're coming for you. Just... hang on for a bit more.
We reached a dark tunnel that according to Thomas's map it's the only way to go to. It was full of cranks? We know that. But we don't have a choice.
"Just take it slow Fry." Thomas said "Close your windows."
"Yeah.. slow and easy." Fry whispered
"Don't shit your pants Fry." i chuckled
"You're not helping Le."
"Sorry."
It was good the first half of the tunnel but then we we're attacked by cranks.
"Just floor it Fry!" Thomas screamed
We managed to escape a crank that was on top of the car. Until we crashed and the car went upside down. Just our luck. I hit my head a bit but thanks to Thomas who protected me it wasn't nothing serious, just some blood.
"Thanks Thomas. Are you guys okay?"
"My head.." Fry said
"My arm." Newt said. "We have to go guys the cranks are coming."
Fry and I shot some of them but they were to many. Please God don't let us die. Not now.
Then a car approached us. No way.
"Get in!" Brenda shout while she shoot at the monsters. Jorge was driving. We got into the car.
"Thanks guys.." I breathed
Brenda turned to to us. She stared at me for a bit.
"You're bleeding. Also what the hell is wrong with you. Going ALONE to save your man?"
"I'm fine. And yeah.. sorry about that I didn't want to put anyone in danger. The last thing I want to is someone dying because of me, again.."
"It's okay hermana you guys lasted almost a day." Jorge said amused.
We saw the Last City from a hill we pulled up at. Damn. It was surrounded by a big wall, to keep the cranks out.
"Do you think he's in there?" Newt asked me and Thomas.
"Yes." i said. I turned to Thomas "You know she's gonna be there too?"
"Yeah, I know." Thomas sighed.
And there we are going. Me Thomas Fry Newt Brenda and Jorge. With just one stolen car.
