Bertha was a car apparently. Weird name for a car if you ask me, but who am I to judge?
I sat in between Minho and Aris, Brenda was behind me with Theresa Fry and Thomas while Newt called the shotgun... again, rude.
My head was on Minho's shoulder and his head on top of mine. We kind of officiate our relationship after we left Marcus's place.
When he asked if he can kiss me i froze. But as soon as his lips found mine I melt into him. This feeling of confort filled me since I met him at the canteen. It was like we attracted eachother, like two magnets. I finally feel happy again.
We made a stop when we reached the mountains because some car blocked our way.
"We're on foot now i guess." Jorge said.
Something was off I can feel it. I watched carefully the top of mountains and I saw a gun.... oh shit!
"Get down now!" I yelled and after that in a second we were attacked by bullets. We hid behind the cars.
"When I count to three we ran back to the car!" Jorge yelled. Oh great.. told you we can't take a break.
"1,2-"
"Drop it." two females said pointing guns at us. Shit.
We all came in front of them and I couldn't stop starring at them. One has brown eyes and dreads and one had brown eyes and blonde hair. They can't be....
"Aris?" One of them said.
They revealed themselves... Harriet and Sonya. I complete froze.
"Oh my god Harriet!" Aris yelled and they hugged.
"Leah?" Sonya stared at me and the tears started.
"Sonya!" i ran at her hugging her tight then she started cry to.
"Leah? Oh my god" Harriet also hugged me tight.
"Aris!" Sonya hugged him "Sonya!"
Sonya cupped my face in her arms and we turned to the rest of the group.
"They are...THE Sonya and Harriet from your maze?" Thomas asked and all 4 smiled at them.
"Yeah they are. I knew you couldn't be dead."
They all smiled at us watching the reunion. Then Newt got close to me and Sonya. "Is she...?"
"Yes Newt. Sonya this is your brother. This is Newt." i told them happy
"Newt?"
"Sonya?"
"Oh my God"
They attacked eachother into a hug they almost fell. I was so happy for Sonya and Newt.
"So this is Newt?" Harriet asked shocked "Leah you found him!"
"Actually he found me." I smiled at him and he smiled back.
They took us then to the base, wich is the Right Arm. Yes the actually Right Arm. We fucking made it.
We arrived there. The whole trip Sonya went crazy over the fact that me and Minho were together that she told Harriet wich was in the other care the news through a walkie talkie.
It was so funny the face she made when Minho told her we kissed. Ah, I missed her and Harriet so much...
"Where is Vince?" Sonya asked a guy
"Who is Vince?" I asked
"He is the one who decide who gets to stay."
There he was. A tall man with beard and brown hair and eyes. He looks intimidating.
"Who they?"
"Immunes."
"Did you checked them?"
"No but we know Aris and Leah here. We trust them." He looked at us.
"Well I don't. Check them." Then Brenda collapsed and I caught her before she hit the ground. She was white as a ghost and she was breathing hard. She looked like... Winston when we.... Oh no, no,no.
"Crank! Crank!" Vince yelled when she saw the bite on her leg. Shit
"NO NO BRENDA!" Jorge shouted and Thomas stood in front of me and her protecting us.
"It's ok I'm sorry it just happened she isn't dangerous yet please!" he yelled.
All I could do was to hold her and tell her it's going to be okay and she kept telling me she's sorry. "Hey it's ok it's not you fault silly."
"Vince enough!" a woman with blue eyes and brown hair was standing next to Vince lowering his gun. "Doctor she's infected there's nothing to do."
"He can." She was looking at Thomas. Say what?
"You know me?" he was frozen while we all stared at him. "I'm Mary."
"It makes sense why they put you into the maze, after what you did, I believed they were going to kill you."
"You said you couldn't keep seeing your friends die one by one, you were the one who send us the information about every WCKD lab or office."
"He was our source.. we couldn't make it without him." Vince realized. Damn Thomas you told me you worked for them before and shit, but damn.
"Take her to the tent, Thomas come with me." Mary said. We received some warm clothes and hot meal.
Ah... I love food.
