"Just relax, El. Let me do the work. I will give you everything you need."
My thoughts are spinning in my head just like my head is spinning now, the morning after yesterday's exciting day with Ben, with a persistent hangover.
Most of these annoying thoughts revolve around Ben, to be more understandable. Maybe if they are about him, they are not that annoying... It was impossible not to think about him. After last night, it just settled in my head. His smell, his touch...
But what happened then?
The rum i drank made sure that I have one big bubble from what happened last night.
All I remember is running out of the lounge with teary eyes and then I was a light salty breeze-
That beautiful fresh breeze is the only thing I remember after my scene with Ben. I messed it up myself.
Tiredly, I lift my tired-closing eyes from the breakfast bowl. Ben. His icy eyes met mine, and he tilted his head slightly to the side. He wanted to know what had happened yesterday. He didn't understand.
I maintained eye contact. If only he could speak for me. If everything I wanted to say to him about yesterday could be said without words.
Suddenly I feel a sharp pain in my throat. I can't breathe. I stopped focusing on everything around me and instead grabbed my neck and started coughing.
"Eli? Are you okay?" Ami promptly asked me and put a hand on my shoulder. I have no way to answer her, so I quickly point to the müsli in front of me and then slam my hand on the table.
"She's not okay, she's choking damnit!!" Leo yelled directly from the other side of the table, immediately jumped up and ran to me.
"OUT OF THE WAY!! EL WON'T DIE, NOT TODAY!!"
If a piece of food wasn't slowly killing me, I would probably burst out laughing.
Even before Leo ran to me, I noticed Ben standing there and his frightened look.
All I know is that Leo lifted me out of the chair with the help of Amira and Kai, hugged my stomach and started pushing.
Nothing happened and the lack of oxygen began to spin my whole world. The colors mixed together and I began to see only black.
"LEO, DO SOMETHING!! SHE'S STARTING TO CLOSE HER EYES!!"
Although I almost didn't notice anymore, I felt that I got off the ground. And when Leo pushed on my stomach again and literally threw me somehow, the air rushed into my lungs. I coughed heavily.
"Dovell, are you okay, for God's sake?" I was leaning forward, Leo was still holding onto me so I didn't know who was asking me. In addition, I really wasn't able to answer.
"She was choking, Mr. Adair, I don't know if she'll answer you now." When Ri said that, I realized that I must have made a really big fuss.
Fantastic.
That's why I quickly came to my senses and answered the teacher: "I'm fine!! It just got stuck in my throat, nothing more!!"
I didn't even wait for Mr. Adair to say what he would say, I turned and patted Leo on the shoulder.
"You saved me, I owe you one."
"You don't owe me anything, just please learn how to swallow. It will come in handy for a lot of things."
"LEO-" said everyone at our table including Mr. Adair at the same time.
"WHAT ARE YOU THINKING, YOU PIGS- I'm sorry, Mr. Adair. As soon as I get to my room, I'll rinse my mouth with soap, don't worry."
