HAZEL

"What surprise are you giving us sir?" a trainee from the crowd gathered in the main area of the warehouse asked Ezar.

He couldn't lie to the ones looking at him with eyes full of hope.

I was there, standing on the stairs behind him so he couldn't see me.

Then a few similar faces looked behind him, at me.

The girls I saved over in those four years looked at me and in a split second, they fell onto their knees, looking at me with tears in their eyes.

One by one whoever saw me recognized me and fell onto their knees.

This was the reason I didn't want to come back to them.

They don't only love me, they worship me, and I'm not what they think.

I'm a pathetic leader!

The one who ran away!

But they see me like I'm everything to them.

Their savior!

I tried to hold back my tears but they rolled down when Ezar turned back, looking at me with pride.

He knew I was going to come back, that's why that bastard placed that fucking red scarf beside the car keys!

"You are back" he mumbled.

"I had to come back," I whispered.

I walked down the stairs towards my people.

"Please don't do this" I too sat on my knees in front of them.

"We thought you died," one little girl stammered.

"Well, apparently I died but satan couldn't tolerate me so he sent me back" I joked to lighten the mood, but my tears were still flowing.

"Are you really here?" another girl crawled a little towards me.

"I am"

"I am here! And I'm so sorry I had to leave you all like that. I'm sorry I had to go away. I'm sorry I wasn't there when I was supposed to be. I am sorry- "I finally cried it all out.

I cried for leaving my home/

I cried for not being the leader they all deserved.

The little girl wrapped her small hands around me, crying she said, "We missed you, Grey"

"I missed you all too"

One by one everyone held me into a deep hug.

Everyone cried, holding each other.

I came back home.

To my family, to my people.

Now there is no going back!

After having a full crying session everyone got up, with smiles on their faces.

"Tonight we'll have a party to celebrate the homecoming of Grey!" Ezar announced.

Everyone cheered in unison.

"I told you, you have a fandom waiting for you" Ezar whispered near me while everyone was still cheering.

I smiled back at him and mouthed a thank you.

"Oh my God! You are alive!" someone shouted from behind.

Ezar and I turned around to see the source of the voice.

It was Rig, the leader of the Shadow Syndicate gang, James, my cyber team captain, and Amy, the leader of the Sniper gang.

Before I could answer Amy grabbed me and hugged me tightly, while Rig and James waved at me.

"Sure as hell I am!" I managed to say.

"We missed you, Grey!" they said.

"So did Everyone" Ezar commented.

"I missed you all too, guys"

"What happened in my absence?" I asked.

"Apart from Dmitry taking over your gangs, nothing much," Rigs said.

"I want a report on everything," I told Ezar.

"Oh! Wait a little miss, leader! It's not even a few hours since you are back and look at you giving commands. See how happy everyone is! Let them enjoy tonight!" Amy argued.

"But-"

"But what not! I know we have a war to win but we can enjoy it a little for tonight and get back to our work tomorrow. We have promised Ezar and you too, that we'll take Dmitry down this time. For Ace" Rigs said.

"For Ace" James and Amy joined.

I looked over at Ezar, holding back my tears.

"For Ace," I said.
