AIDEN

I closed the door behind me as we entered the room.

"So what do you wanna know?" she just asked causally.

"Will you answer truthfully?"

She was staring at me, while I was trying to look through her.

"Firstly tell me who am I talking to? Is it Hazel or are you going to play Grey this time? Uh?"

No reaction.

Not even a fucking blink.

"Who are you?" I asked louder this time.

She was testing my patience, trying to get on my nerves

"Fuck! Give me something haze! The answer, some reaction, anything!"

I didn't realize how close I got to her until she pushed me back.

"What do you want to know Aiden? I never lied to you about anything! I just hide my real identity!" she finally let her heart out.

"Why did you hide it?"

She laughed.

"Then tell me what would I have said to you, that I was the fucking monster you were finding for years?"

"Even if I told you everything, will you still look at me after seeing all the sins I have committed? You wouldn't even trust me!"

"How can you say that when you didn't tell me, Haze?"

"You too didn't trust me. Trust is mutual haze and I tried to trust you even though I didn't know anything about you. But what did you do, uh? You used me!"

"I didn't use you!" she counted back.

"Oh, you didn't? Then where is the file? You were going to run away with the file, didn't you?"

"I–" Before she could say anything further, Terry barged in.

"I'm sorry for interrupting but Aiden, uncle is here!"

My attention shifted from Hazel to Terry.

I exchanged glances with Hazel and without any other word, I walked out of the room straight towards the hall.

"Uncle? I didn't know you were coming" the words left without me thinking.

"I thought to surprise my boys!" he laughed, pulling me into a deep hug.

I didn't realize how much he needed it until I heard his voice.

"Didn't you miss me?" he asked.

"Unfortunately we did!" Terry shouted and came running towards us, pulling us in a group hug.

I saw Hazel also walking down the stairs.

"Looks like we have a compan–" Uncle couldn't complete his words, and he looked like he saw a ghost.

Hazel's expression changed too.

It felt like she was walking dead.

It didn't take me long to figure out something was wrong in the air but I got late to react to the situation as in another second Hazel pulled out her gun and pointed straight at my uncle.

"Whoa! What the hell are you doing!" Terry shouted in disbelief.

She ignored his words.

She was staring dead at him.

All the bodyguards that came with uncle pointed their guns toward her, but she was unmoved.

"Easy boys!" my uncle warned his guards.
