New clutched the letter tightly, mumbling to himself, "Why does he still want to do bad things to me? I didn't do anything to him. Why can't he just let me go? What am I going to do now?" Troubled, he headed to his classroom. The entire day, he barely spoke to anyone. His friends bombarded him with questions, but he offered no answers. Arm noticed New’s odd behavior but chose not to say anything.

As New slept that night, Arm quietly entered his room. Concerned about his brother’s well-being, he decided to search New's bag for any clues about what might be troubling him. In the bag, he found a letter. Arm carefully unfolded it and read:

"New, I miss you so much. I wanted you to come to me that day, but you didn’t. Now, your whole family and all of your beloved friends, especially that Tay guy, are going to suffer. He had the audacity to ruin my plans again, even at the theater. From now on, because of his actions, you will suffer. Eventually, you’ll love me. Don’t worry, your beloved Key is waiting for you to love you."

Anger coursed through Arm as he read the letter. He tore it into pieces, then gently rubbed New’s head, whispering, “Everything will be all right, little brother. Don’t worry about it.” He then left the room quietly.

The Next Morning
No one woke New early that morning, so he overslept. When he saw the clock, he jumped out of bed, hurrying to get ready. “Why didn’t anyone wake me?” he muttered to himself. As he headed downstairs, Arm greeted him.

“Newwie,  you not going college today?” Arm asked.

New, confused, replied, “Why? Are we going somewhere?”

Arm shook his head, “No, I just think you should stay home for a few days until I find a good bodyguard to be with you all the time.”

New frowned, “What are you saying? I don’t agree with that.”

New’s mom chimed in, “Son, it’s for your own good. Listen to your brother.”

“But, Ma, I don’t want that. I already have bodyguards to look after me; I don’t need anyone else,” New insisted.

Just then, New’s uncle entered through the front door. “New, son, we know you received a threatening letter at college and what happened at the movie theater. We need to be careful.”

New, frustrated, replied, “But Uncle, I don’t want someone following me everywhere. You all already hired bodyguards without listening to me, and now you want someone else to follow me everywhere, even to my room and college. No, I don’t want that!” Tears welled up in New’s eyes as he spoke.

New’s mom approached him, hugging him gently. “Please, son, don’t cry. After we find the culprit, you’ll be free to do whatever you want. No one will stop you.”

New, still crying, said, “Then I’m not going anywhere if that’s what you guys want,  I don’t want anyone following me 24 hours a day.” He ran to his room, crying, and slammed the door.

New’s mom called after him, “Wait, son!” Arm said, “Let me talk to him.” Everyone nodded in agreement. Arm went to New’s room and knocked on the door.

“Newwie, my lovely brother, open the door. Let me talk to you,” Arm pleaded.

New, sobbing, replied, “No, I don’t want to hear anything. Go away!”

Arm, trying to coax him, said, “Do you want me to go everywhere with you so you won’t feel uncomfortable around someone else?”

New, still sobbing, said, “No, don’t. You always say you have work to do. Now why do you say you’ll stay with me ?”

Arm sighed, “First, open the door so we can talk, right?” Slowly, New got off his bed and unlocked the door. Arm entered the room and sat on the bed, placing a comforting hand on New’s shoulder.

“You are my only brother, Newwie. I can do anything for you; you know that. So, it’s okay. Uncle can handle the office for a few days. I can stay with you,” Arm offered.

New shook his head, “No, I don’t want that either.”

Arm thought for a moment, then said, “Newwie, what if it’s someone you know well and feel comfortable around?”

New shook his head, “I don’t want to hear it anymore. I don’t want anyone. That’s it.”

“Please, Newwie, just listen to me this once,” Arm pleaded. “I promise you’ll like the person I hire.”

“I won’t like anyone who follows me everywhere,” New insisted.

Arm smiled, trying a different tactic, “Then let’s make a deal.”

“What deal?” New asked skeptically.

“You stay with him for only three days. If you don’t feel comfortable around him, I won’t hire anyone else, and I’ll be the one to stay with you. Is that okay?” Arm proposed.

New thought for a moment before replying, “Only two days, right?”

Arm nodded, “Okay, two days.”

New sighed, “Fine.”

Arm smiled, “That’s my good brother. Now, you do your work, and I’ll go talk to the person.” With that, Arm left the room.

New lay back on the bed, feeling sad and mumbled, “It’s not good at all to be born a young child into a rich family. They worry too much.”

New’s phone rang. It was his friends calling to find out why he didn’t go to college. After explaining what happened, Gun said, “This guy, why is he doing this?”

Force chimed in, “Gun, you didn’t see the person, but we did. He didn’t seem like a bad guy, but look how bad he is.”

“New, be careful. Don’t go out at all. I’m sorry for taking you to the theater. It’s all my fault,” Gun apologized.

“Ha, Gun, don’t say that. I’m okay, and it’s not your fault at all. You already told me everything,” New reassured him.

“Still...” Gun began.

New interrupted, “Stop it, Gun. It’s not your fault. He’s the bad guy. I didn’t recognize it back then, but now I do. My uncle and brother will find him for sure.”

Force added, “This morning, when we wanted to go to your room to wake you, your mom didn’t let us take you to college because of this. You didn’t even tell us anything yesterday when you got the letter. I wonder what you would have done if P’Arm hadn’t found the letter.”

Gun sighed, “He’d probably do something stupid.”

“No, I’m not,” New protested.

“Really?” Gun teased.

“Don’t you guys have classes? You’re still talking,” New pointed out.

Pond laughed, “It’s break time, my dear friend.”

“Whatever. I’m hanging up now. Tomorrow, we’ll meet. P’Arm said the person will go directly to the college,” New said before ending the call.

“Alright, see you tomorrow,” they replied, and the call ended.
