Tay quietly left the room . Two hours later, New woke up to find Tay gone. He mumbled to himself, “Did he go back home?” Feeling uneasy, he got out of bed, went to the bathroom, and then headed to the living room. He asked the maid, “Did everyone come back yet?”
The maid shook her head. “No, they haven’t returned yet.”
New frowned. “Why haven’t they come back home yet?” He quickly called his mom, who assured him that they would be back in about an hour. New nodded, ending the call, then stepped outside to look around. He couldn’t find Tay anywhere and muttered to himself, “He didn’t even bother to tell me before leaving.” After spending some time gazing up at the sky, lost in thought, he returned to his room.
The next morning, New was woken up by his mom, who gently urged him to get ready for college. “You can go to the hospital after your classes,” she said.
New nodded, got ready, and ate breakfast. As he was about to leave, his dad offered, “Son, I’ll drop you off at college today.”
New shook his head. “It’s okay, Dad. I’ll go with my bodyguard. You can head to the office.”
His dad looked at him with concern. “Are you sure?”
New nodded again. The whole ride to college, New couldn’t help but miss his brother, who usually took him to college. When he arrived at college, he looked around, hoping to spot someone familiar.
Forse and Gun approached him, noticing his distraction. “New, what are you looking for?” Gun asked.
New just shook his head silently.
Gun encouraged him, “Let’s head to class. You’ve already missed three.”
New nodded again, following them without a word. During the break, Gun suggested they go to the canteen to eat something, but New just muttered, “I’m not hungry.”
Forse tried to reassure Gun, “He’s upset, but he’ll be alright once P’Arm gets better. Just give him some time.”
Gun nodded and decided to leave him alone. After classes finished, New didn’t wait for his friends. He ran outside, got into the car, and told the driver to take him to the hospital.
When he arrived, New went straight to Arm’s cabin, where he found his brother sleeping. Not wanting to wake him, New sat quietly beside him. Hours later, Arm stirred and noticed New sitting by his side.
“Newwie, when did you come? Why didn’t you wake me?” Arm asked softly.
New didn’t respond; his eyes filled with tears instead.
Arm smiled gently. “Silly boy, why are you crying again? Everything is fine. I’ll be going home in a week.”
New wiped his eyes but still didn’t speak.
Arm asked, “Did you eat anything at college?”
New shook his head.
“Why didn’t you eat anything?” Arm asked with concern.
“I’m not hungry,” New replied.
Arm chuckled. “Really, you’re not hungry? What about ice cream?”
New shook his head again.
Arm sighed, “Newwie, I’m okay. Nothing happened to me. Don’t be scared. Did Tay stay with you?”
New hesitated. “He said you told him to stay with me. Is that true?”
Arm nodded.
New frowned. “You don’t have to hire him for me. You can hire anyone else you want, as many as you want. I won’t complain anymore. Just not him.”
