Tay thought to himself, "No, I am not what you think." New asked, "After going back, are you going to meet me in Thailand?"

Tay replied, "Of course not. After going back from here, you go your way, I go mine. We will never meet again."

New asked, "Why not? We both stay in Bangkok, so you can come to my college to visit me."

Tay said, "Why should I do that? I have a lot of work to do. I can't just come visit you."

New said, "I am going to miss you then."

Tay responded, "Why do you have to miss me? I didn't do anything for you to miss me."

New said, "You saved my life twice already, so you did good things for me."

Tay mumbled, "Yes, that's something I also question myself about, why I did that."

New asked, "Did you say something?"

Tay shook his head and said, "Now sleep, don't talk anymore."

New said, "You can also sleep, just set the fire big so it won't blow out when we sleep."

Tay said, "You sleep first. I will do that."

New nodded and closed his eyes, but hearing the sound of leaves, he sat up again. Tay asked, "What happened?"

New said, "Maybe someone is there, and also it's uncomfortable to sleep here."

Tay said, "New, I can't bring your bed here, okay? You have to sleep here. There might be some small animals walking around making sounds. Just sleep, don't think about anything else."

New said, "No, you come here fast."

Tay set the fire properly so it wouldn't blow out until morning. He went to New's side and said, "Now sleep."

New said, "It's cold."

Tay replied, "You have so many complaints. Come closer then." New moved closer to him. Tay wrapped his arm around him and said, "Is it okay now?"

New nodded and closed his eyes. Tay thought, "Doesn't he feel uncomfortable hugging someone like this?". While Tay hugged him, after some time, New had already fallen asleep. Tay looked at New and thought, "It's the first time I've done something like this for someone. I even said sorry to you, which I never say to anyone." He rubbed his hand on New's hair and then noticed the mole on New's nose. Tay smiled a little and said, "He has a mole here. I didn't notice that before. He looks cuter with it." He shook his head and said, "What am I thinking?" Then he closed his eyes and went to sleep too.

At night, Tay heard a sound. He got up and looked around. New was still asleep. Tay could hear the sound coming closer to them. He slowly moved New's arm off him and grabbed a piece of firewood. He carefully approached the noise to see what it was. When he saw a deer coming towards them, he threw a stick to scare it away.

Hearing the noise, New opened his eyes and saw Tay holding the firewood in his hand. New asked, "Why are you holding that? Weren't we supposed to sleep?"

Tay replied, "I just heard some noise, so I woke up to check."

New got up and asked, "What was it?"

Tay said, "Just a deer."

New asked, "Why didn't you wake me up?"

Tay replied, "You were sleeping like a dead man."

New protested, "No, I am not."

Tay said, "The only thing you do very well is argue. Now sleep again."

New sat down and said, "What if the deer comes back? I will feed the deer some grass. I will not sleep anymore," he said excitedly.
