New hesitated, still clinging to Tay. "Tar, can we go to the next room, please? It’s really scary."

Tay sighed, trying to keep his patience. "Hin, every light in this house is on. Ghosts don’t come when the lights are on. Now, can you relax, or I’m really going to throw you out of this room."

New pouted but kept holding on to him tightly. Tay walked to the bed, with New following close behind, and they both lay down. New hugged Tay so tightly that Tay groaned. "Hin, I can’t breathe. Can you sleep properly?"

"I’ll just go to my mom’s room. You could sleep then," New muttered.

Tay, now amused, said, "Good! I’ll finally get a break from you. Go on, who’s stopping you?"

Annoyed, New jumped off the bed and stomped to the door. He opened it slightly and glanced outside, finding the hallway empty. He looked back at the room, noticing Tay wasn’t paying any attention to him. Frustrated, New mumbled, "Whatever, I’m not staying here. No ghosts, no ghosts."

He slowly stepped out, closing the door behind him. His heart pounded as he whispered to himself, "New, you’re a brave boy. Don’t be scared of ghosts. They’re nothing, right?"

He stood in front of the staircase, opening his eyes wide to muster courage. Just then, he saw a figure, a woman in white mask, walking toward the kitchen, mumbling softly. The eerie sound reminded him of the movie, and terror struck him instantly.

New’s face paled as his legs gave out. He slipped on the staircase, tumbling down with a loud crash.

The woman in the kitchen screamed, "Young master!" and rushed toward him.

Hearing the noise, Tay and the others burst out of their rooms. Tay’s heart skipped a beat as he saw New lying at the bottom of the stairs, the maid kneeling beside him, panic written all over her face. "Hin!" Tay shouted, rushing over with fear in his eyes.

Tay knelt beside New, trying to lift him, but as his hand touched New's neck, he felt something wet. Looking down, Tay realized his hands were covered in blood. "Hin! Wake up!" Tay shouted, shaking New gently, but New remained unconscious.

New's mom, already in tears, rushed over, screaming, "How did this happen? Why is he lying here like this?" She looked to the maid for answers.

The maid, trembling, stammered, "I-I was just in the kitchen getting water, but suddenly, I heard a noise from the stairs. When I turned around, young master had fallen from the top!"

New's mom cried out, "How could he fall from the stairs?" Her panic grew as she tried to make sense of the situation.

New's dad, already on the phone with the ambulance, instructed, "It’ll be here in five minutes. Stay calm." He quickly called Arm and his uncle, informing them of the accident.

Tay, lifting New gently in his arms, stood up and walked swiftly toward the door. "Tay, wait for the ambulance!" New’s dad called out, but Tay, with red eyes filled with worry, snapped back, "I don’t have time for that." Without hesitation, he headed outside, carrying New.

New’s mom, frantic, said, "I’m coming with you, son," and hurriedly climbed into the car beside New. Arm and his uncle arrived just in time to see Tay’s car speeding away.

Arm, alarmed, asked, "What happened, Uncle?"

New's dad explained briefly, and Arm and his uncle, now deeply concerned, jumped into their car and followed.

On the road, New’s mom kept crying, holding her son tightly and trying desperately to wake him. But New remained unconscious, his head resting limply in her lap. Tay, driving faster than he ever had, reached the hospital in just 10 minutes. He burst through the doors, carrying New in his arms. The doctors and nurses, recognizing the seriousness of the situation, immediately rushed New to the emergency room.
