Tay says, "I’m here to keep an eye on you, so no one tries to kidnap you again."

New laughs lightly. "Kidnap me here? You sound like P'Arm. He’s always saying someone might try to kidnap me. It’s not like everyone wants to kidnap me."

Tay smirks. "Go outside and play."

New asks, "Are you coming?"

Tay nods. They both head outside, where New’s friends are waiting. New feels lighter, relieved that he was wrong about Tay liking Jeni, and happier because Tay said he sees him differently. When they return, New is smiling, and his friends notice.

Gun, curious, asks, "What’s going on? Why are you smiling?"

New replies, "It’s nothing. I just... thought wrong. Tay doesn’t like anyone."

Force teases, "So that’s why you’re so happy?"

New nods. "I thought he might not want to spend time with me if he had someone else."

Gun smirks. "So, if he gives you time but has someone else, are you okay with that?"

New hesitates for a moment, then says softly, "I don’t know."

Gun, sensing New’s unease, says, "I think he lied to you about not liking Jeni. They were sitting together quietly earlier. And we all know Tay isn’t the type to talk much. I really think he likes her; otherwise, why would he—"

Gun stops when he notices the change in New’s expression—from happy to conflicted.

Gun continues, "It’s not a big deal, though. You seemed happy that Tay isn’t going to ignore you, even if he has someone else."

Force nudges Gun, "Why are you saying that? Can’t you see he’s getting upset?"

Gun shrugs. "This idiot needs to understand what he feels about Tay. Otherwise, it’ll hurt even more if Tay actually ends up with someone. And we all know how sensitive New is about someone he love ."

Force nods in agreement and turns to New. "Gun might be right. Look, they look good together. Jeni is pretty, and Tay is handsome."

New, trying to keep calm, replies, "Tay said he doesn’t like her and wants me to stop overthinking. So, let’s not talk about it."

Pond chimes in, "But it’s not overthinking, New. You saw it with your own eyes. You even saw them kiss."

New’s mind flashes back to the memory of Tay kissing Jeni. Force adds, "Maybe they’ll get married after Jeni graduates. They’ll have children and start a happy family."

New sits there in silence, his thoughts swirling. Gun presses further, "Aren’t you happy for your friend? He might get engaged in the future."

New, feeling overwhelmed, says, "I don't feel well, can i go to have some rest?"

Force replies, "Yeah, go rest. We’re staying the night at the boat anyway."

New nods and heads to the room . Tay watches him leave and then follows shortly after. When he enters the room, he sees New lying on the sofa.

Tay asks, "Why are you lying there? If you want to rest, do it in the bed."

New doesn’t respond, his back turned to Tay. Tay walks over and says, "New, get up."

When New doesn’t move, Tay gently grabs his arm to pull him up. But when he sees New’s face, he say. "New, why are you crying?"

New didn’t answer as he wiped his eyes, though they were still brimming with tears. Tay asked, "New, did someone say something to you?"
