"What do you mean Grandpa is coming with?!" I whisper shouted to Xion on the other side of the phone. Sophia and I were currently doing some last-minute checklist on packing for the trip this evening.

"Well, he..." his voice faded as I watched her grace across the room, trying to make sure we didn't miss anything. "Is everything okay?" She called out, concern lacing her words.

She halted in front of me, her eyes searching mine for a moment before I responded. "Yes. Just a little change of... plans."

I could sense an underlying tension behind my words voice, but before she could press further, she continued walking around the room, her satin pyjamas clinging to her like a second skin. The fabric shimmered in the soft light, accentuating every graceful movement she made.

I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. "Are you okay?" I asked, my curiosity getting the better of me.

She paused again, this time letting out a soft sigh. "Yes. Everything's fine." There was a hint of determination in her tone, as if she was trying to convince herself as much as me.

As she resumed her hurried pace, I couldn't help but wonder what had prompted this sudden urgency. Something was definitely going on, and I intended to find out what it was.

We left the apartment at around 5 as our flight was at 7. With the time to travel, we we could make it there by said 10 or 11 midday.
"So, are you going to tell me what is going on? Or do I have to torture it out of you?" She turned towards me. She was wearing flared pants with a satin halter top. All red, of course; hair hair tied up in a messy bun, with some of her curls left out in the front. I did not notice that I was staring at her until she cleared her throat.

"Nicolas? Is something wrong?"

"There has been a minor change to travel plans. Nothing we can not handle," I pulled out my phone. "And what does a 'minor change' mean exactly?" She questioned. I kept my focus away from her as I tried to find the words to reply. Before I could, she grabbed my chin, forcing me to face her. "Minor change Nicolas. What does that mean?" The annoyance mixed with confidence slurred in her words.

"Grandpa is joining us."

"Grandpa is joining us. You call that a minor change?!" She whispered, her hand letting go of my chin. The lingering heat of her touch remained behind as we lost contact. Get a grip. "Dios. Having to keep appearances in public was gonna be one thing, but now? He is going to be at home with us."

"I understand your frustration. Believe I was not happy to hear about this either, but you know Grandpa. There's no stopping him once he has decided on something," I replied to her.
"Oh, believe me, I do. Once a Vasilios decides they want something, they make sure they get it," she rolled her eyes.

"I thought we spoke about you and rolling your eyes. Not a very convincing look for you, Mrs Vasilios," I retaliated back.

"Oh, forgive me, Mr Vasilios," she did it again, "Would you like a divorce now? Grown tired of me already?"

"Watch it. Or I might have to do it for you."

"Try me," she breathed out, challenging me.

Before I could reply though, our driver called out that we had arrived at the airport. "Mrs Vasilios," I held my hand out for her as she stepped out. "Mr Vasilios," she smiled back. As the staff got our backs out of the car, I noticed a car parked nearby. He was here already.
"You ready?"
"As ready as I will ever be," she whispered as we made our way to the private jet.

As we got in, I wrapped my arm around her waist. She tensed at the sudden act but relaxed into it when she realised who was already here. "Nico. Sophia. How lovely it is to see you," Grandpa sang as we made our way to sit. "Grandpa Vasilios. Always a pleasure," Sophia smiled back at him. "Grandpa," I nodded at him. I guided Sophia to a two- seater seat we usually sat at. Except this time, instead of sitting opposite each other, I placed her beside me. I took the window seat while she sat by the aisle.
